When the Duggar family announced last week that the baby Michelle was carrying had died in utero, it seemed the Internet couldnt have any less sympathy toward the fertile-to-a-fault brood. Commenters right here on Salon called them an obscenity who are unfairly crowding the planet with [their] disgusting obsession and selfish, polluting choices, who were, in essence, asking for it. Then the Duggars really ticked people off.
Making good on their promise to both name and hold a memorial for the baby, the Duggars had a service Wednesday for the child they named Jubilee Shalom Duggar. At it, they shared a card that read There is no foot too small that it cannot leave an imprint on the world that featured a photo of the babys tiny feet, and another one of Michelle holding Jubilees hand.

Amen
It is a beautiful and sensitive photo.
Such a tiny hand....
I look up to the Duggars. They are a wonderful strong family. The way they handled this tragedy is to be admired and I do admire them.
I think the photos are precious.
I hope pro life groups will be able to use the photos to save lives.
The article was far more intelligent than what I expected on Salon.
Indeed
Why this happened I don’t know.
But God does.
Trust we must

The baby is with Jesus which is so comforting to know.
So love the the population reduction crowd. The kind of people that’d gun down your whole family and bury them in a ditch for their brave new world. Nothing like genocidal butchers getting on their high horse.
I really wish those people would take one for the team, and off themselves, then I might be impressed with their commitment to the cause.
I think it was done very tastefully. It is also makes a statement that she was nothing less than a human baby, and was still very much loved by her family.

Yes. Some people say when we die we go to “sleep” until the Lord returns.
I do not subscribe to this theory. Jesus said: TODAY you will be with me in paradise. I believe that. I think when we die HE is there to hold us and comfort us.
Dying is not what God intended.
We made our bed in this respect.
But I know in my heart that He will make death as gentle as possible.
Blessings to you Saundra
Taking a photograph of a stillborn child, or a deceased infant is nothing new.
My wife’s grandparents did this in the 1920’s when one of their children died as an infant. All dressed up in a tiny casket.
It was a way to remember that a child really did exist.
I find no fault in what the Duggars did. It seems the libs and Left want to “Tebow” anyone who believes in sacred things.
Well said.
It is a beautiful picture of a precious baby.
We have a large photo album from the early 1900s with quite a few photos of deceased relatives. Some were infants and they didn’t live long enough to have photos taken of them alive. You are right, this is a way to remember that they did exist.
There’s nothing controversial about this photo set.
It’s one of their children and it’s God’s child.
Because she was their daughter and they loved her. There's no controversy here, just guilt.
