Herman Cain’s chief of staff Mark Block confirmed to ABC News that the candidate told his senior staff this morning that he is reassessing whether he should stay in the race, as reported by the National Review. Cain told his staff in a conference call that he’ll make his final decision “over the next several days.” Cain has been dogged by reports of sexual harassment in recent weeks. On Monday, a Georgia woman said she had a 13-year long affair with the former chief executive of Godfather’s Pizza. Cain denied the affair, saying that he knew the woman but did not have an extramarital affair. Two other women have publicly accused Cain of sexual harassment when he was head of the National Restaurant Association in the late 1990′s.

I hope the candidate will be Newt and, as you said, whomever our candidate is, we need a super running mate to unite our party so Obama is out.

“If you’re really interested in these rumors, just do a google search. And then post them here. Non-Perry supporters who post these rumors, see them disappeared within minutes.”

Rumors are just that. I never, ever post rumors about anyone. I’ve heard zillions about Romney. If I ever post a rumor, I would hope a Monitor would have the good sense to remove the post. I prefer to consider actual news stories that have made it through some sort of filter...albeit a slanted filter. I also believe the media should be forced to retract stories. Cain should be demanding a retraction. I might add that Cain’s extra- personal life would not be on my radar at all if he hadn’t chosen to use his long marriage as a campaign tool.

Herman Cain

Will we EVER see a REAL CONSERVATIVE/OUTSIDER with the guts to trust We the People and stand up to the Forces of Darkness and Evil??????

Probably not. The KGB/Alinsky Inspired Machine has been honed and perfected to the point of being invincible. Weep for the USA lost forever.

And don’t give me flame about how inexperienced in Foreign Policy Cain was. Foreign Policy has had WAAAYYYYY too much attention given to it for far, far too long, at the horrific expense of our Domestic needs.

“Donald Trump is waiting in the wings as an Independent candidate.”

Ron Paul may also go third party.

This is true. We need a leader of America for Americans, period. Every foreign policy decision should be based on whats in it for American Citizens.

Read the whole speech from Teddy Roosevelt - it’s worth the effort;)

http://www.theodore-roosevelt.com/trsorbonnespeech.html

Indeed, it is a sign of marked political weakness in any commonwealth if the people tend to be carried away by mere oratory, if they tend to value words in and for themselves, as divorced from the deeds for which they are supposed to stand. The phrase-maker, the phrase-monger, the ready talker, however great his power, whose speech does not make for courage, sobriety, and right understanding, is simply a noxious element in the body politic, and it speaks ill for the public if he has influence over them. To admire the gift of oratory without regard to the moral quality behind the gift is to do wrong to the republic.

“but the Perry supporters atrocious conduct leaves me wondering whether I want to be associated with that group.”

Could you enlighten me? What atrocious conduct? Posting numerous positive news stories from various sources as we try to combat the negative?
I have never known Perry supporters to engage in atrocious conduct. I’d seriously like to consider your claim if you would provide the info.

Right on! How much experience do you need to know who is our friend and who isn't? Reward our friends, punish our enemies. Just opening up our oil drilling to its full potential would be one way to show our Mideast enemies that we take friendship very seriously.

A weak Republucan President elected in 2012 will ensure another hard left Democrat wins in 2016. By 2020 demographics pretty much guarantee the Democrat Party will be perpetually the majority party.

Obama may make history twice. He could lose to Romney in 2012 and then be reelected in 2016, in the same way Grover Cleveland sat out one term. By 2020 he could either get the 22nd Amendment repealed or just suspend the Constitution.

Whatever. I got so many "troll" replies to my prediction more accusers would come out and Cain would withdraw between Thanksgiving and Christmas I stopped caring.

Call me a troll all you want. If I have a better understanding of the situation than the Cain True Believers then what does that make them?

People here blind themselves to the truth about their pick and lash out with nonsense when someone speaks about reality.

If true, that’s too bad....because no candidate would be more competitive with Obama.

I’ve noticed also that many of the anti-Perry posters have been pretty obnoxious on here lately as well! It’s not pretty! Now I’m not talking about those who are honest critics who are supporting other candidates; I’m talking about those who have nothing nice to say about him at all, and/or come up with all-out lies!

In Post 122, you said that rumors SHOULD be brought out. That’s the only reason I suggested you look them up.

I have to disagree on that. He contributed to the debates in the sense that he has some good ideas and it's best they are part of the discussion. However, he also has some loony ideas that will never gain the necessary support. Add to that his propensity to make faces and gesticulate crazily on camera at times and it won't work.

If Romney wins, then every Conservative must fight to get control of Congress. Romney will not do much, in terms of socialism, if he has to fight a staunchly conservative Congress to do it.

Whether the allegations are true or not, McCain, Gingrich, and Clinton have done worse. McCain actually left his seriously ill wife for the mistress. Gingrich has had at least one long lasting affair, and we all know about Clinton and Gennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, a big-haired intern, and let's not forget Broaddrick.

I hope Cain stays in the race.

Are ALL these women lying? Why do you believe Cain and not ALL these women? I don’t know who is telling the truth, but there does seem to be an awful lot of SMOKE.

It's called POLITICAL SMOKE and MIRRORS
So nobody can or does have a friend of the opposite sex that they text, phone call, and/or email regularly; with NO sexual interest; based purely on FRIENDSHIP???
Lest we forget... ROVE predicted Cains demise in October, before the first accuser surfaced publicly. GOP and Fox News have crowned Romney. If you don't see this, you're blind.

Sad. Really sad.
Apparently, the MSM/DNC can accomplish its goals with a series of unsubstantiated claims rather than actual evidence. As long as they repeat it enough times. Think: Duke Lacrosse Team.

And conservatives like yourself buy it. Think: Four more years of Obama.

Good points!!
