Herman Cain’s chief of staff Mark Block confirmed to ABC News that the candidate told his senior staff this morning that he is reassessing whether he should stay in the race, as reported by the National Review. Cain told his staff in a conference call that he’ll make his final decision “over the next several days.” Cain has been dogged by reports of sexual harassment in recent weeks. On Monday, a Georgia woman said she had a 13-year long affair with the former chief executive of Godfather’s Pizza. Cain denied the affair, saying that he knew the woman but did not have an extramarital affair. Two other women have publicly accused Cain of sexual harassment when he was head of the National Restaurant Association in the late 1990′s.

So gentlemen, yet another entire dog an pony show has been successfully manipulated by the Evil Establishment behind every scene in this country for several hundred years!

Things must go the way Satan says, or else because his team has grown larger and stronger than God’s team? What a terminal tragedy!

She has been trolling for a sexual harassment suit (and a big payoff) for at least 25 years. I know she’s been dismissed from at least 4 union jobs as a result of bringing false accusations against superiors.

And, why not? There can been some BIG payoffs. My wife and I were listening to the news together when we heard a report about the $11.6 MILLION dollars awarded to the Knicks employee who was repeatedly "harassed" by Isaih Thomas.

We both had the same reaction: DAMN HONEY! You need to get out there and get yo-self harrassed!

Phone records showing phone calls and text messages at the rate of one every other day for the last 4 months is not evidence? If my wife found that on my cell phone I would be looking for a good divorce attorney unless I had a damn good answer to why I was communicating with this woman so often. Saying he was trying to ‘help’ her because of her bad financial condition would not cut it.

FReepers might want to ask Cain to have his wife come forward and say she knows this ‘woman in need’ and fully supports her husbands efforts to ‘help’ her.

Well its likely going to be Newt or Mitt so get ready to make a choice.

I was around in the nineties when Newt was Speaker and I thought he did a hellava job. He played chicken with Clinton and did not blink. Boehner and the rest of the spineless pubbies could not take the heat and threw Newt to the wolves. Notice how they can’t take the heat now either. Where has that gotten us? Newt spoke out strongly about the unconstitutional super committee and he was right.

Newt says he will junk Obamacare. Good. Newt says he will shut down the EPA. Good. Newt says he will drill, drill, drill. Good. Newt says he will sign over 100 executive orders on his first day in office negating all of the Czars and most of the crapola Obama instituted. Good.

If nominated Newt Gingrich will taunt, ridicule and criticize Barry Soetoro, aka Barack Obama, aka Steve Dunham every day until election day. If Barry is stupid enough to get into a debate with Newt he will be eviscerated. If he’s stupid enough not to get into a debate with Newt he will be ridiculed for it. It will be a misery for Zero.

I had to get drunk to vote for McCain, I don’t feel that way about Gingrich. My first choice was Michelle Bachmann. I would have been happy with Herman Cain and Rick Perry is not a bad guy but its just not happening.

OK Charley ...Rusty Humphries interviewed the local FOX reporter who broke the story on the local FOX affiliate...From which media types from everywhere cites...is using..

OK what facts did that FOX reporter cite ? ...She had Cain’s cell phone number from which the reporter contacted Cain. And Cain acknowledged he knew her... That in essence IS the basis for the charge... The reporter did not go any futhur or demonstrate proof of a continuing liason for the years claimed by Cain’s accuser. Which should have been done

The FOX reporter then went into a political diatribe which would fit in neatly with the political attack. Well the reason she came forward was because she was a victim and the other accusers were also victims using a device I call the GS/BS (GS being Gloria Steinem) campaign device.

Now who would want to see Cain go down.???..For sure the Obama hyphenates The Dema-Coms they can’t have some uppity black diverting black votes which they control...Who else has their hands on this ?? ...Well the hyphenated democrats the dema-coms will be busy pointing out who on the RINO side of the aisle were stupid enough to eagerly jump on this. The hyphenates doing it to gin up their black base against that candidate ..

Thus assuring the contiuning American disaster

Agreeing with you. It has to be “anybody but Obama”. Lets hope that whoever the nominee is, that he or she picks a running mate that will light the fire again and get us excited about the election. The way McCain did when he chose Palin.

Unless there are love letters, notes, texts, emails, receipts, etc, then it is still CONJECTURE.

Cain did not deny knowing her.

But you are playing right into the liberal media’s hands — trying Cain in a court of public opinion NOT on facts.

All they have to do is start the ball rolling, pop some popcorn and sit back and watch “conservatives” do the rest.

Palin quit her governorship to make money. Palin’s posse will make excuses for her, but it wasn’t some leftist conspiracy. The family got out of Alaska onto the TV and book circuit and now she’s a millionaire. This election cycle she strung the true believers along to bank some cash and sell some books. She opted not to run at the last possible moment.

The only reason to believe a conspiracy would be to continue to sanctify the woman’s image while ignoring what she has actually been doing.

I think Cain and Perry represent the least threat to Obama. “Oops” in a national debate? Or Cain trying to take 5 minutes to give a non answer to a question because he didn’t get enough sleep the night before? Yeah, takes a huge conspiracy to bring him down before the nomination even happens.

Posters here exhibit a huge amount of hubris when picking a horse and sticking by him because they refuse to admit they made a bad choice. So many irrational arguments supporting demonstrably bad candidates.

And then blaming the left for GOP candidates failures really puts the rest of the field in a position of strength.

There are rumors all over the ‘net about Perry’s affairs. Whether they are true or not, if, by some miracle, Perry’s fortunes should rise again, they will be dragged out.

Strangely, while any piece of garbage can be posted about Cain, the Perry rumors are scotched quickly. Why the double standard here?

The poetic justice is that it is a lot harder to make such a case look credible at 45 than it is at 20.

Stupid! There is no way in the world that a professional campaign should let a rumor like this get out until the decision is made. I’ll be very disappointed if Cain allows the sleazy whisper campaign from the far left to derail his campaign, but I think this rumor will kill him even if the whispers don’t. I still haven’t heard anything credible from the “victims” of whatever it is that they are complaining about with Cain, and I was hoping he could get past this and return to his message.

If not Cain, then whom? Romney is simply unacceptable. Newt disgusts me, although I would vote for that sleazy patriot in order to get rid of the drug-addled communist currently occupying our White House. Perry? Someone else? This is going to be at best a sad year for the United States and possibly our last year in which we can save America as a free country. I’ll pray that Cain will decide to stay in and that he will be able to beat the damage from the whispers and from this rumor that he’s quitting, but mostly I’ll worry a lot.

Who knows how many people here are really conservatives and how many are just trolls. This is a sad day Barney Frank is being praised and Herman Cain is being trashed and will most likely end his campaign. And I’m still not voting for Romney. The talk show hosts can bloviate all they want next fall about how this is all about “getting rid of Obama” and we have vote for the nominee no matter what. These are the same hosts who talk about principles all the time. Where’s the principle in voting Romney RINO?

I don’t know about you, but Perry would have to prove to me that those rumors about his affairs were untrue before I could even consider supporting him ;)

Are ALL these women lying? Why do you believe Cain and not ALL these women? I don’t know who is telling the truth, but there does seem to be an awful lot of SMOKE.

Sad. Really sad.

Apparently, the MSM/DNC can accomplish its goals with a series of unsubstantiated claims rather than actual evidence. As long as they repeat it enough times. Think: Duke Lacrosse Team.

And conservatives like yourself buy it. Think: Four more years of Obama.

Yeah, I’d like him to come clean, too. Deny it like Cain had the guts to do.

And if there is nothing to any of this, why is Cain reassessing his campaign?

If none of it is true, it should be laughably easy to dispute. He should be eager to be out there shooting this stuff down. Sorry, if Cain quits because of this stuff it will mean some of it was true and he knew he couldn't hide it anymore.

Herman always struck me as a bright guy, so I am a bit stunned that he would enter a Presidential race knowing this stuff was lurking out there and yet failing to preempt it.

The latest woman has phone records of him calling her 61 times.

Inaccurate.
There are records of calls TO and FROM Cain. How many calls went each way was not reported.
