Sandusky Scandal: Kenneth Frazier a serious conflict of interest (Free Republic exclusive)
Outspot | 13 Sept. 20011 | Outspot

Posted on 11/13/2011 12:05:38 PM PST by OutSpot

In the ongoing saga of Penn State University failures and misguided moral compass, there is unfortunately one more insult to injury to the Sandusky child rape victims and their families. Penn State’s board of trustees last Friday appointed Kenneth Frazier, the chief executive of Merck & Co. as well as Penn State alumni, to lead a special committee to investigate the Sandusky sordid matter. As a Penn State alum myself, it turns my stomach knowing that Mr. Frazier volunteered himself and has serious conflicts of interest in the scandal. Anyone is able to review the Annual reports of Sandusky’s “Second Mile” organization and see that Merck & Co was one of Second Mile’s largest repeat donors for the past several years 2006 (> $50,000), 2007 ($5,000-$9,999), 2008 ($5,000-$9,999), and 2009 ($2,000-4,999). The annual reports can easily be downloaded from the Second Mile website.

If this is not enough grounds already to immediately fire Mr. Frazier, with allegations in the media prior to Friday that Second Mile might have been “pimping” underage boys for large donations to the Second Mile organization (À la “Franklin Scandal”), makes the decision by Mr. Frazier and Penn State even more odd.

Instead of volunteering yourself Mr. Frazier you should have immediately recused yourself from committee participation due to your company’s direct monetary ties to the scandalous Second Mile criminal enterprise. Penn State, with its damaged brand, has a choice to make now, to further cleanse itself from this incredible scandal or continuing down the path of covering-up the matter.

Regrettably yours,

I agree, there should be a focus on the homo aspect of this whole mess.

You'll know when the investigation of the 'homo' component reaches critical mass. Suddenly, the fagolae are teaching us there is a 'difference' between homos and pederasts.

Hey, Spot, where is your proof that this implicates Kenneth Frazier and Merck & Co with any pimping of under-age boys?

Your charges are totally based on guilt by association (with Second Mile).

Is it not conceivable that some individuals (and organizations) were contributing funds in good faith?

On FreeRepublic, guilt by association is what we call a "liberal tactic".

There are likely so many involved, on so many levels (all the way to the donors and judicial system) that they're scrambling to protect their own azzes.

The sick and disgusting aspect continues to get worse, each day.

This Merck jerk (Frazier) needs to get the heck out of the way.

Isn’t it strange how Sandusky is out and about with no money out of pocket? How is he able to continue to live in a house next to an elementary school? Shouldn’t he be under protection? Don’t the authorities want him around when it comes time to talk?

How is it that Sandusky can go out shopping in broad daylight, in a Penn St. sweatshirt no less? Why doesn’t his very presence at Dick’s cause a major scene?

There is obviously much more going on here than meets the eye, and it is possible no one in the State of PA is capable of getting to the bottom of the scandal. There are too many conflicts of interest, too much power, and too many guilty parties with connections. What a sickening sewer of corruption.

One question: Who is heading up the internal investigation of The Second Mile? I certainly think its just as important that The Second Mile have an internal investigation as PSU.

Though Paterno had to go down too, and should, in fact, be prosecuted as an accomplice.

Would you not have contacted the police if such a crime were reported to you? I know I would have.

Yes, I would like to think I would also have myself.

Even Paterno admitted that he did not do enough.

They have no choice. The enebalers must continue to cover up their complicity. This is not a ‘PennState needs to ...’, it is the sick bastards running the institution need to, and they need to keep coveriung this up. And with the help of the degenerate media and democrats controlling Pennsylvania they will succeed.

there is enough “story” to go around for everyone involved including Paterno.

Look....I get it. I drank the Happy Valley kool-aid all the way up to the part where I finished reading the GJ presentment.

I spent a couple of days stunned and saddened.

I won’t go into the amount of JoePa fever that went on in our home....just be assured it was there.

There simply isn’t any excuse - nothing can justify this.
Not from anyone.
Not from the lowly janitor all the way up to the president.

This is something I received today from a retired pastor which is supposed to be from a Penn St Insider.

Officials at Penn State created an environment that ENCOURAGED perversion, and that no sex was wrong.

It was the stated goal of President Spanier to become the most Gay-Friendly Campus in America, and Penn St. had the first All-GAY fraternity in America. (I’ll bet they have an interesting Hell Week).

With Adminstration-sponsored events like “QueerFest”, or the ‘Become a Lesbian for a day’ “C##tFest”, they CREATED an atmosphere where the perversions of a sicko like Sandusky found not only a home, but acceptance, and a staff willing to cover it up, for the sake of the MONEY the Football Program dragged in.

Penn State FIRED its 27 yr National Championship winning Women’s basketball coach, Rene Portland,in 2006, for telling a parent she would not tolerate homosexuality on her team, claiming she created a “Hostile, discriminative environment”.

In this kind of an atmosphere, can you hardly be surprised that sexual abuse of children would go on, and be covered up, with no regrets?

Here’s another one in Scotland

http://news.sky.com/home/uk-news/article/15277412

There’s also a Duke University official (white male) that adopted a black male and subsequently advertised on Craigslist to pimp out the 5 year old.
Not a story MSM would ever cover.

From Newsbusters, a bit on sicko Frank Lombard and the Duke case:

Frank Lombard is an associate director at Duke University’s Global Health Institute and a homosexual who was charged last week with the molestation of his adopted 5-year-old black son and actively trying to sell him for sex on the internet.
The 40 words above are 40 more than the Main Stream Media has said on this horrible story.

In nearly a week since Lombard was arrested, not one national broadcast or cable television news show has picked up the story. Compare this to the weeks on end of sensational coverage of the white male lacrosse players of the same university charged with rape several years ago.

At the time of this post not one television show has reported the story and only 17 newspapers in the United States featured it - a majority of which are only small local newspapers.

And most of these articles cited the American Press’ report on the events, which was as follows:

AP) WASHINGTON - A Duke University official has been arrested and charged with offering his adopted 5-year-old son for sex.

Frank Lombard, the school’s associate director of the Center for Health Policy, was arrested after an Internet sting, according to the FBI’s Washington field office and the city’s police department.

According to an affidavit by District of Columbia Police Det. Timothy Palchak, an unnamed informant facing charges in his own child sex case led authorities to Lombard.

Authorities said that Lombard tried to persuade a person -who he did not know was a police officer -to travel to North Carolina to have sex with Lombard’s child.

The detective’s affidavit charges Lombard identified himself online as “perv dad for fun,” and says that in an online chat with the detective, Lombard said he had sexually molested his son, whom he adopted as an infant.

The court papers say Lombard also invited the undercover detective to North Carolina to have sex with the young boy, and even suggested which hotel he should use.”

In response to the AP report, which most of the newspapers used almost verbatim, Mike Adams of Townhall made the observation that “The Associate Press (AP) did not mention the fact that the five-year old offered up for molestation was black. Bringing that fact to light might be damaging to the political coalition that exists between blacks and gays. Nor did the AP mention that the adopted child is being raised by a homosexual couple. Bringing that fact to light might harm the gay adoption movement.”

With this shocking lack of coverage of an even more shocking story, many are asking why this did not make the front pages and top headlines like the Duke lacrosse team scandal did. Thomas Lifson of American Thinker posited that “identity politics ... apparently trumps all sense of outrage.”
