CHICAGO—The discovery that former Penn State University defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky has been molesting boys as young as 10 years old – and that university officials including head coach Joe Paterno did not do more to apprehend this predator – has shocked America. Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH), said the scandal exposes the continuing problem of homosexual predators in society. He offers the following observations related to the PSU scandal:
Greek has several words for love
eros is sexual love - pederasty is derived from this word
philos is brotherly love - whence pedophilia but of course it is a euphemism.

butterdezillion - I have come across a 4th distinction - that the pederast acts on his desires while the pedophile has the desires but may not act? I wasn’t quite sure what you meant by “sexualizes/objectifies a non-sexual child.”
It’s a sick, sick repeating cycle, and that’s why it needs to be stamped up as soon as it appears. In the Sandusky case, there is no excuse for him not to have been “outed” after 1998. For him to continue to have a free office on campus is sick. For the coaches to see him bring boys to games adn practices is sick. It should have been stopped years before it was. That will be the eternal shame of PSU.
I know enough about them to wish them old fashioned remedies such as riding a rail, tarred and feathered, or worse.

That is a bunch of BS. In the first place, look at the length of the marriage! It takes (or did in those days) a year to get a divorce in CA. That's why Las Vegas was invented -- quickie divorces. The way I heard it is that the marriage was promoted by the studios and by her mother as a path to stability (money and parts). She found out on the wedding night that her husband was not the man he pretended to be. Poof! Marriage over.
I just cannot imagine what goes through a woman’s mind when something like that happened. I mean they would initially feel it had to do “with them” vs the fact that their new husband was more into the pool boy. In my neighborhood (when I was a kid), there was a doctor who cheated on his wife. Well, she found out and demanded to know who the other “woman” was... it was a man. They divorced but it completely devastated their two daughters. The girls were around 11 and 13 so understood what homosexuality basically meant. Here is what is interesting: all of the women in the neighborhood were shocked. I mean SHOCKED. However, most of the men in the neighborhood weren’t. They had picked up on something that the women didn’t. What for sure? No idea but I still find it interesting that the men weren’t shocked.

Which means, in order for your mental breakdown of who and what homosexuals must be, you have to believe they did to make sense of things.
It may be your reality, but, it’s not the actual reality.
Now, how is developing a same-sex lifestyle somehow different for men and women? It’s about emotional and physical stimulation and response it seems.
IF a man can disgust a girl and she then finds features of the same sex more desirable, how is that any different than a boy who finds girls undesirable and then resorts to other males? That doesn’t make sense. It’s the same thing.
I’ve known the family now for 17 years. They are a “good” Southern Baptist family. Admittedly, I recognize the oxymoron contained within that statement.
This girl has been my best friend for many years. I fish with her father and her mother puts a stocking up for me at Christmas time. I’ve never been closer to anyone or another family in my life. There is not a hint of deception or secrets among them. She knows everything about me and I know enough after all of these years about her to pick up on clues of abuse. They aren’t there. I’d trust her and her family with my last $100 if it came down to it.
The dynamics are different for lesbians than for homosexual men. For women, from what I’ve read, the issue revolves more around the feeling of lacking a mother’s nurture. And that can happen even if things seem very close between the whole family or between the mom and daughter even.

Excellent discussion on the thread. Even if you don't get to some other pings (I've had computer problems and pinging is not that easy right now), this is very good - discussion of how pederasts groom boys, what happens to the boys, how many - studies say the majority - of homosexuals were molested bey pederasts, etc.
A couple of years ago there was a prominent lesbian academia type who passed away.
When you read the news about her life, you could click on a link that took you to a list of prominent “womyn’s studies” types with short bios after each one.
I remember recurring themes that seemed to contradict the whole “born this way” meme...
- anger at daddy
- anger at a boyfriend or husband
- many described a life of being straight - and then retraining themselves to change. (out of a sense of anger)
- I remember one describing her former addiction “to the male gaze” - which she freed herself from.

To have sexual feelings for a person who is not sexual is a bit like having sexual feelings for a table. Whatever it is that they are attracted to in the child, it isn’t the child’s sexuality but they make it all about sex.
I actually suspect that what they are attracted to is the child’s innocence but I don’t know if they want to take part in the innocence and the only way they know to take part in anything is sexual, or if they want to somehow make sex innocent by involving somebody innocent, or whether they subconsciously want to destroy somebody else’s innocence the way theirs was destroyed...
I don’t know the pathology of it. But whereas it is understandable that a person could be turned on by a young person with sexual features and capabilities, erotic thoughts about a child with no sexual features seems about like having erotic thoughts about a pet bunny. To get sexual thoughts from a pet bunny you’d have to view that bunny as the means to the end of some kind of sexual pleasure. And anything can be the means for getting sexual pleasure, if you don’t worry about what it is.
That’s what I mean by sexualizing or objectifying - viewing the child as a sexual object rather than a real human being that happens to be sexually appealing.
I’ve worked with many gay people and the vast majority have had rather normal up-bringings without histories of molestation to hear them tell it.
What you say is precisely the opposite of every study that’s been done, and the conclusion drawn by therapists who work with homosexuals helping them repair their lives. I don’t quite believe you...

This pervert didn’t touch any rough and tumble all boy young men. He concentrated on the shy, subdued ones. The ones who couldn’t throw a baseball or catch a football. He had them to stay late and assist him in the upkeep of the facility.. . . then he’d groom them for rape!
Did you ever see “The Color Purple”? Lesbian sex was presented as a contrast to the dad’s rape which “always felt like he was pissing on me” (or words to that effect).
I remember times when it was so much more comfortable to commisserate with women when guys had acted like jerks, and I could see a woman wanting somebody who could understand her, rather than somebody so different from her. I think emotions sometimes have a bigger impact on women.
