Jimmy Webb in 1977 returned to the studio for an album, ”El Mirage”, which received critical acclaim.

”The Moon’s a Harsh Mistress”

I have to credit Webb with a beautiful rendition of his song. He doesn’t have the vocal chops of some of the other singers who have tried this, but it’s still impressive in its own way.
