Penn State trustees fired football coach Joe Paterno and university president Graham Spanier (SPAN-yer) amid the growing furor over how the school handled sex abuse allegations against an assistant coach.
The massive shakeup Wednesday night came hours after Paterno announced that he planned to retire at the end of his 46th season.
But the outcry following the arrest of former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky on molestation charges proved too much for the board to ignore.
One key question has been why Paterno and other top school officials didn't go to police in 2002 after being told a graduate assistant saw Sandusky assaulting a boy in a school shower...

It was posted the second time by mistake; the phone browser got in a loop. The last post was to address all. Your sadness for students who make a false God of a school, a team, a coach is the failure to be a leader
I have no interest in reading your drivel. So I won’t any more.
You’re into straw man arguments and others dirty “debate” tactics. You’re officially on my “ignore” list.
1) Homosexual activity seems to be protected behavior, even when it’s rape, 2) McQueary didn’t sweep it under the rug—we only know what happened to those children because of his truth telling....
We are learning, to our horror, that persons under the age of 40 are completely in moral error. We know how this has happened. We know its authors.
Heard on the 11 pm news that Paterno has contacted a high-power criminal attorney ...
Don’t know if he is represented at this time ...
So the DA who wanted to arrest Sandusky in 1998 disappeared in 2005? There is money behind this, lots of it. I’d say the Homosexuality is not limited to Sandusky, but in fact lots of cash from men raping boys going to the college. Lots.
These people
They decided to protect the program by sweeping this under the rug. If it was drugs, recruiting violations, or something like that I could perfectly understand. But child rape, not cool. I knew as soon as this story broke that Paterno would be canned. If Jim Tressel couldn’t weather something as irrelevant as his QB trading trophies for tats.....
I’m not without any pity for Paterno but he deserves this being in the first paragraph on his wikipedia entry for all eternity.
If I saw some nasty old f*gg*t raping a little boy I’d
A)Stop him.
B)Call the cops ASAP, not tell my boss first. (that guy that saw should be fired too)
It’s amazing how these guys get away with it for so long even when people know! Matt Millan implied his inclination would have been to personally dispatch Sandusky.
I feel very bad for the players on the team. I hope the NCCA doesn’t decide to screw them over like they did to USC, they were having a nice season.
Does this mean Joe Paterno finally outpaced Woodie Hayes?

This.
He is the star witness. And he is being protected. If you go after him or fire him you run the risk of having his attorney become involved. What his attorney will immediately do is tell him to not say another word and the prosecution of Sandusky comes to a screeching halt.
Precisely. Even some of the “conservative” radio talking heads have been doing back flips to claim that Sandusky is not a homosexual, but merely a pedophile (same with the predatory homosexual priests). Funny how most of the predatory pedophile’s we hear about go after young boys (whereas most of the hetrosexual incidents tend to be incest situations). The dirty secret, which the media are constantly covering up, is that this kind of predatory behaviour is the norm for a significant chunk of the male homosexual community. Groups like NAMBLA are given a nod and wink by the “mainstream” homosexual community and the atmosphere of political correctness provides cover for their actions. Had Sandusky been caught merely put his hand on a female university student, he would have been drummed out of the university in 1998. Rape of an innocent young boy is treated much less seriously by our warped society.
Well said.
Thanks for linking.
I would not be shocked that his disappearance was a "hit" job
I think there was so much fear about how much this would hurt Penn State and Joe Paterno - that good men failed to do what was right - and stop it years ago.
she’s brilliant due to you raising her, well done and I’m sure the left will not get inside her head and screw her up with their brainwashing.
Thank you.................
I have to say i would like to know how old these kids are.
I keep reading stories like its Penn State Students. Where they under aged minors or 18-19 year olds.
Any one know.
See link at post #81...it will clear up any questions you may have.
Because the media, society, isn’t addressing the core problem. Spanier is known for his homo friendly agenda. It’s been going on for 15 years at Penn State. My husband and I stopped contributing/donating, and we stopped being a part of the Penn State Alumni Association because of this. The atmosphere, the agenda by University officials, hell the freakin’ President (now former President) stated it clearly. And 15 years of Spanier’s Presidency has taken Penn State in a direction that is detrimental to the school, its’ students and its’ alumni.
You know what the Homosexual Agenda is doing and has done to all aspects of our society. And the Media is right there with them.
I don’t believe that Paterno knew. Granted, I don’t want to believe he knew exactly what was going on. Until more info is released, I won’t believe he knew exactly what was happening.
This stuff isn’t just happening at Penn State. They’re just the newest target of the media who refuses to report on the real problem. The atmosphere, everywhere, is we can’t address or say anything negative about homosexuals, ever. The media isn’t calling Sandusky a homosexual pederast or pedophile. They are calling it child abuse or sexual child abuse. Or child sexual abuse. Anything but what is really is.
The cover up isn’t the core problem. Making homosexuality just another aspect of sex, normal, is part of the core problem. Not being allowed to address those issues is another part of the core problem. The homosexual agenda is in place everywhere. It’s a huge factor in all the anti-bullying laws and advertisements and policy in our schools.
The coverup isn’t the problem. It’s a result of the real problem. It wouldn’t surprise me if the coverup by the AD and other officials at Penn State is really a coverup of something more, more important/connected people. Or maybe it really is just people covering their own asses.
The honosexual agenda, those activists who have been promoting this agenda quietly and almost in a benign way, are in every institution.
The coverup isn’t the problem. The problem is why the coverup happened, why we can no longer say homosexuality is NOT normal. The media never talks about the Catholic Church’s HOMOSEXUAL child abuse. It’s not talking about the Homosexual sexual child abuse committed by Sandusky. The media is scapegoating Paterno instead. Penn Sate Child Sex Scandal. Haven’t heard a word about Sandusky targeting boys through his charity Second Mile from the Media. Haven’t heard a word about stats concerning male adults sexually abusing little boys and teenage boys.
They won’t report that. The B of T at Penn State won’t comment on that. Their answer was to fire the face of Penn State, Paterno, the one positive face of Penn State, to cover their asses.
