ATLANTA (AP) - Republican candidate Newt Gingrich is decrying media coverage of the sexual harassment claims against rival Herman Cain and says that Cain's tax plans deserve more attention.
Gingrich has told WSB radio in Atlanta on Wednesday that he thinks it's "disgusting" that the news media has started what Gingrich described as a "witch hunt" against Cain. It was revealed this week that Cain's former employer, the National Restaurant Association, settled in the 1990s with two women who claimed that Cain had sexually harassed them.
A third woman has told The Associated Press that she considered filing a sexual harassment complaint but never did.
Gingrich says Cain is trying to help a country that's in trouble and has gotten more coverage for what Gingrich termed gossip than for Cain's tax policies.

No, it's not a shame. I've had enough of those two clowns. Willard and Not-So-Slick Rick (along with Santorum at times) have been a flat out embarrassment to this campaign and the debates.
The Cain-Gingrich debate will for sure be the best, most intelligent and informative debate of the campaign.
I swear, if Romney or Perry gets the nomination, I will have to stay home election day. They will only continue the damage 0bama has caused. I'm done voting for “the lesser of two evils”. The lesser of two evils is still EVIL!

It is truly mind boggling that Corzine openly and arrogantly steals taxpayer money. It's theft on a grand scale. He knows the MSM will totally ignore this story.

Newt’s “nobility” on this point will actually win him support. Right now, he comes across in Republican circles as the only “adult” on the stage (how scary is that?!). Oh, I still don’t trust Newt as far as I can throw him, but he’s starting to hit his stride, and when he does, he’s one of the BEST politically.
it’s from over a decade ago. the ladies can plead that they forgot some details. Also, quite frankly sexual harassment can be anything — there is another post about how Cain asked someone “Darling, more tea please” or something.
That can work. Far better than anything with Perry (RINO with small horn) or Romney (RINO with big horn) in it. If Cain implodes it is possible that voters will move to Gingrich. That’s fine with me, as long as it is not a move to (Obama prototype/Liberal lite) Romney or (rocks for brains) Perry.
The VP debate alone is worth that.
