Iranian Navy Rigid About Deployment At US Maritime Borders
FNA ^ | October 29, 2011

Posted on 10/29/2011 10:26:18 AM PDT by Fennie

TEHRAN (FNA) - Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari on Saturday reiterated Tehran's plan to deploy naval vessels near the maritime borders of the United States, and said Americans are not entitled to opposition as all nations have the right of voyage in international waters.

Speaking to FNA here in Tehran on Saturday, Admiral Sayyari said Iran is serious about deployment near the United States maritime borders and this rigidness has worried the US officials.

"Americans are worried about themselves. The Iranian army is present in free waters and will continue its presence," he said.

He said international rules and regulations entitle all countries to the right to freely sail and be present in the high seas, and added, "I ask if the United States maritime borders are not in free waters? If they are, then why should we not go there?"

“Or launch a missile with a warhead to initiate an emp. Just thinking out loud.”

This is exactly why they want to do this. Also missiles with chemical/biological and in the future, nuclear warheads.

We could probably just send a few trawlers out of Gloucester and wipe them out...

> Not a problem for me.

Actually, this is a big problem.

Iran does not have ICBMs, but they do have missiles that can easily travel the 200 miles off territorial waters.

Multiple launches from nuclear tipped missiles from these vessels could destroy all major US cities with little more than a few minutes warning.

They should be promptly sunk before they can come within the range of their missiles. They would have to be sunk in international waters, and a war would ensue, but better to get it over with now, while we have an advantage.

If they will be quick about it, they can negotiate with the obama regime for port facilities in Charleston Harbor. Maybe they can expand that to include resupply from US Navy supply ships.

Can we tweak our GPS system so it's half a mile off in that region and our subs can have a quick live fire exercise.

First it was the CMC, now it very well could be the IMC.

They only have 5 ships that could make the 10,000mile voyage theoretically. All 5 are frigates approximately 30yrs old.

If they want to sail them to the Gulf of Mexico, why should we care? If they make it there they'll likely have to be towed back.

If these were Iranian freighters lurking off our coast for extended periods I would be worried. But these will be flagged naval vessels.

Let them pretend to be big boys. They aren't.

Let's parse that post, shall we?

Helen of Troy = "face that launched a thousand ships"

therefore

Helen Thomas = "face that SANK a thousand ships"

Consider yourself HIGHLY commended, sir.

Cheers!

Exactly. This is a viable and serious threat to our homeland! Not merely a political taunt. Unfortunately, we do not have a CiC who understands this.

Give warning. No compliance? Sink them all!

If I were king for a day I’d order an attack submarine to sink their “flotilla” in the mid Atlantic at night.

What seems to be lost in the mocking thoughts and comments on the Iranian naval deployment to our shores is:

This makes short range firing of EMP (electro-magnetic pulse) weaponry which Iran has and has had for over a decade a CRIPPLING threat to our country and by being blind to this, we risk losing our ability to survive economically and even socially as many things flash to a halt!

For a while the Iranians were planning to do this using rusty cargo ships launched out of African ports.

However, they realized that these could be boarded (legally or not) and examined by other navies, so now they have made it a bit more dangerous.

They may have a combination of the two plans in the works.

It makes little difference that the mission is quasi suicidal when we then destroy them since the damage to the USA and our economy would be drastic, crippling and inmm some aspects irreperable. And much worse than even what Obamna is doing to it.

Or is a part of what he is doing to us as he is in bed with the Iranian regime as well as the Moslem Brotherhood, teh latter operating out of his White House!

The Iranian naval deployment is to pretend to be openly and formally in our coastal waters and explain their presence within range of their now overt threat to our survival.

Not too long ago permission for Ahmadi-Nejad to arrive at the UN with a special private air carrier with 34 armed bodyguards on board who would NOT deplane was denied to prevent just such a threat.

EMP does not harm humans or animals and only attacks electronics, so this turd could be making his speech while the aricraft took off without clearance, detonated an EMP and he would be safe from harm. Other than perhaps getting lynched before he could escape.

Deniability would be that those 34 people were a rogue element.

Another added and more likely for that special aircraft request may have been a less drastic one where it was equipped with electronic surveillance to check out and find all frequencies used by law enforcement, air control etc., while so many Heads of State are in New York.

The 34 armed men on board would prevent US authorities from boarding in a customs or similar check and the gathredd information would be used to jam communications at a future time. Lke when the Iranian naval deplpoyment takes place.

Wake up America! We have a xxxxxxx in the White House making all this possible for our enemies. He and his ideological cult are NOT on our side.

He’s a MUSLIM. He’s a COMMUNIST. Don’t be afraid to say it. Their first victory is our fear to name the enemy.

Or launch a missile with a warhead to initiate an emp. Just thinking out loud. .

They don't have ICBMs, but they do have capability that could easily fly from a maritime border inland to our coast. An non-nuclear EMP weapon would be an easy choice. Even a low burst over a large city would cause serious consequences.
