The latest person expressing a bit of doubt about the authenticity of Barack Obama's purported birth certificate is none other than Texas Gov. Rick Perry.
The Republican presidential hopeful is the subject of a long question-and-answer report in today's edition of Parade Magazine.
The relevant portion concerning the issue of the president's eligibility was addressed briefly in this transcript:
Q: Governor, do you believe that President Barack Obama was born in the United States?
Perry: I have no reason to think otherwise.
Q: That's not a definitive, "Yes, I believe he"
Perry: Well, I don't have a definitive answer, because he's never seen my birth certificate.
Q: But you've seen his.
Perry: I don't know. Have I?
Q: You don't believe what's been released?
Perry: I don't know. I had dinner with Donald Trump the other night.
Q: And?
Perry: That came up.
Q: And he said?
Perry: He doesn't think it's real.

No bites on this yet? This ought to be good.
Illegitimate or not, if he came out and announced to the world tomorrow that he's not eligible, nothing that has already happened would change or be rolled back. The law doesn't work that way. (Argue that it should all you like, don't it won't.)
The only ways to get rid of him now are impeachment and election. The election will be quicker. Then the birth certificate can join Oswald in the shadows of history.
But public opinion does.
Ask OJ.

Another brilliant interview with the Governor of the Great State of Texas.
“Well, I don’t have a definitive answer, because he’s never seen my birth certificate.”
Huh?
“impeachment and election. The election will be quicker. “
Agreed.
THAT is where our focus needs to be.
We bit on this yesterday.
Even if Barry Soetoro aka Barack Hussein Obama had been birthed in the Lincoln Bedroom of the White House Obama is NOT a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN.
This reads like a SNL skit.
Please keep hammering away till its sinks in. - I suspect a long process for some. I believe the truth is known but nobody wants to deal with it including SCOTUS, aka bad words.
Question: if Obozo is standing for election of President again, what stops him being challenged to prove Natural Born Citizenship? Where does the Constitution say that a ‘sitting President’ is grandfathered in and does not have to undergo scrutiny?

That probably should have said “I’ve never seen his birth certificate”. Don’t know if it was a slip of the tongue by Perry, a mistake by the author, or a transcription error by the editor. The follow-up question doesn’t clearly indicate one way or another: If you think Perry said “seen my certificate”, the question “but you’ve seen his” would make sense as “he hasn’t seen yours, but you’ve seen his”.
But if Perry actually said “I’ve never seen his birth certificate”, the question back could have been “But you’ve SEEN his”, like an incredulous “yes you have, he put it out to the public!!”
My guess is it’s the former, and Perry just swapped his pronouns answering a question he probably didn’t think was all that important. I don’t think Perry is seriously joining the birther movement, just tweaking the point a bit.
I found it unfortunate only because that was a good couple of paragraphs that could instead have dealt with more of his positions of importance in the article. The article was a great article, and I wish it had been longer and covered more topics.
More like Monty Python,
where what makes sense in a normal world is rejected out of hand in favor of the assumptions of a conjured reality.
You can question the existence of God. You can question the merits of Capitalim. But you had better believe Obama has a US Birth Cirtificate!
Every state in which this has come up in the legislature has chickened out.
If anything passed, they made it “effective” after the 2012 election.
This is like a third rail for everyone that can actually do something about it.
