Coverage of Sarah's announcement on Fox and Friends this morning (35 seconds)

I rolled out of bed ran down and got my cup of coffee and back up to bed to watch Fox and Friends, I thought for sure Sarah's announcement would come after the coverage of Steve Job's passing, but I kept waiting, and waiting, and waiting. I even began to doubt that what I had read about Sarah's not running last night was a fake. Finally, at 6:35 this morning, 35 minutes into the show spoke about Sarah's announcement. Mind you, this is after talking about today being national noodle day for at least 3 minutes.

The coverage was short, probably 30 seconds worth, and it was demeaning towards Sarah in my opinion.

1) Gretchen stated that the reason Sarah didn't do a press conference like Christie was that there were actually people pressing Christie to run. Now, this implies that the regular people pushing for Sarah to run aren't real people like the ones pushing for Christie.

2) Whats his name made a remark about Sarah's "Title" statement.

Palin has always won, and the reason for that is she only enters if she is reasonably sure she can win. When Cain was in the lower pack, and Perry was up, she probably thought it was possible for her to win and was waiting to see how it worked out.

However with the rise of Cain, she knew that she would only divide the conservative votes between Cain and herself. That would have delivered the nomination to Romney.

So, that is probably part of her decision not to run for President.

The other reason is, if you read her missive carefully, she was concerned about threats to her and her family’s life. She referred to “innocence” of “childhood” lost. I read that as her being afraid her kids would lose their Mom and /or Dad to an assassination.

Perot had a nighttime visit of “ninjas” that made him decide to back out for the sake of his grand children. This seems to be the rule rather than the exception for those challenging the status quo. Sarah couldn’t even get that author creep from living next door. That implies a lack of control of her security and environment. It was intended to intimidate her and her family.

Cain essentially offered to be a VP a few days ago, and that may have been an overture to Palin. Perhaps she could return the favor with Cain and be well positioned for the next election. A Veep is not as much of a target as a President.

There is also the fat ugly cow and misogynous male votes that Palin seemed to never be able to win over. Kelda points out that Thatcher and Hillary are not very sexually attractive types.

The republican party has this one election to get its house in order... or they will go the way of the Whig party. One cannot compromise with evil or communism... AND THAT is exactly what boehner is saying that he wanst to do when he says that there is common ground on which the House can compromise with obama... and he said it yesterday. Nothing is forever... and that goes for the republican party also.

Hogwash...every fellow knuckledragger like myself down here in Dixie who would usually not vote for a woman was crazy about Palin..she was the toast of deer camp for her looks and ideas.

I think she opted out for fear of more McGinniss stuff..her tone changed instantly almost and the Greta interview...difficult to watch proved that to me.... true allegations or not...she did not want to deal with it

I thought for sure she would run in the summer but I got worried by end of August..of course to utter that here meant I was Satan and not a true Palin fan to the nuts

So based on your logic, only those with skin in the game should be listened to. Funny, I thought we ALL have skin in the game of saving our country.

Palin was in a position that few have. A very rare position. And she chose to punt and frankly fumbled the snap.

If she could have convinced enough people to elect her she could have moved forward on the things that matter to her and when elected had a unique ability to lead to get Congress to put forth bills she could sign that could put into place that reflected her values.

Yep, we all have skin in the game. Sarah had a possibility that very few can ever have. She let it slide by. Apparently it's easier to be a sideline critic than an elected official. Apparently it's easier to hold others accountable.

Sounds okay ... we are at a stymie situation. ... the problem is about a third or half of the moderates (duly elected) will leave the party or stay and get the rest to create a new party. The result will be the same. The liberals will unify and the conservatives will be divided. We lose.

Sarah knows this. It is easy to see. No one ever wants to be wrong, however, like churches that split, it seldom is for the good of the church.

No matter our nation is slightly to the right of the center: if we split the now republican party will attempt to push Ron Paul to go and likely his son Ran, too.
Including A few other staunch conservatives, they will be glad to move out. Our power will be weakened
We are divided over spending money, EPA, jobs, taxes, abortion making compromises, homosexuality, marriage, etc. Both the House and the Senate. There is "big trouble in River city."

It is a true dilemma.

I have also seen a pattern of Women like Ann Coulter,Laura Ingraham,and Liz Twotta that have no husband and no children, and are jealous and envious of SP because she is the complete package. These so-called conservative women made career and life choices, like putting off marriage, and family to scratch and claw their way to what they feel is the pinnacle. Life's poor choices like dating Olbermann and Bill Maher, and other hateful radicals. Now when they are way past prime or way over the hill they want Husbands and Children,but it is too late. Especially for an italian woman to never marry or have children,it is a disgrace. Some of these gals are the most intolerant and bitchy women I have ever seen that were not radical Fems. SP makes them jealous and envious because she has achieved great things and high office,has a Manly Man supportive Hubby,beautiful children and she is beautiful and very attractive to men. They are basically old maids.

There are also women that do not want any woman to make them look like lazy slobs, and underachievers. They also will never support a woman for President because they are mysteriously only open to Men doing those kind of jobs. They are the biggest problem out there today. SP set the bar too high and they want to sit on their fat butts and let the man do all the achieving. They are very pathetic, and then wonder why nobody gives a crap what they have to say.

I pray over this Republic many times a day. I have very little hope that anything other than collapse and violent riots in our future. America will endure and prosper again... but not until another civil war comes. ONE CANNOT compromise with communists... and let’s face it... that is what and who we are fighting. I pray that it never happens... I see nothing to stop it at this time.

Not only that, but she popped up with some type of pseudo-campaign type event to coincide with the planned announcements of oher candidates. Perhpas now the focus will actually be on real candidates.
