With Sarah out, which conservative candidate has the best shot of knocking out Romney and Obama?
vanity poll | Oct 5, 2011 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 10/05/2011 5:06:47 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

My personal favorites are:

1) Bachmann

2) Cain

3) perry

Cannot get excited about Gingrich or Santorum.

I liked Bachmann a lot (more than Palin) because I heard her speak and she was excellent, she really enunciated the philosophical basis well. But I haven’t felt that she has done very well in public appearances, and I think maybe she needs a little more toughening up to be the candidate - so maybe sometime in the future.

I think Gingrich is good (he has great ideas) but I think that while he delivered the Contract with America, he buckled under when the Dems attacked. There was no reason for him to resign; he had done nothing wrong with the book deal. The problem is that once they have smelled blood, they’ll attack again - and they may succeed again.

As for Perry, I didn’t like him at first, but I think he’s fundamentally got the right ideas and I think it will all depend upon how he recovers from the current attacks (some partly because he didn’t explain his position very well, and some because the Dems obviously saw him as a major threat).

But I would vote for any of the above - in fact, the only person I wouldn’t vote for is Romney. And I am very uneasy about the fact that Cain appears to be very favorable to him, so I’m withholding judgment on Cain (also, I don’t think he has enough governing or political experience to be effective).

Of course, that’s how I see it today...it can all change overnight!

It is time to put your money(or effort) where your mouth(or keyboard) is.

I sent him $50 5 minutes ago and wouldn’t mind hearing that 20,000 other people did the same tonight.

It is all about being able to stick it out until the first primaries are held, and winning them. Who ever is left standing will get the money they need to crush Zero or who ever is running in his place when he drops out/is impeached.

Wish we could. John had to drop them because they were impacting server performance. He says he’s going to rewrite the program. Hope he gets it done in time.

I'll vote for whatever RINO is nominated.

Ubama will win, though.

I’d pick Romney over Perry. I cannot stand Perry. I may even think that Ron Paul is better than Perry.

Hopefully, I’ll get to vote for Cain.

Last time, I had to choose between Romney and McCain. Ughhhh!

I've been surfing the threads and Cain is getting the overwhelming majority of former Palin supporters—including me.

The post Palin polls are going to be shockers with Cain in big BIG leads—IMHO.

Newt is the smartest one in this field but he shoots himself in the foot with off the cuff remarks about global warming, etc. Methinks his wife leads him around by the nose and she believes the global warming crap.

Sarah Palin:“Herman Cain is the one up there who doesn’t look like he’s part of that permanent political class. He came from a working class family. He’s had to make it on his own all these years. We respect that. He has an automatic connection with the electorate. We can all relate to him. He knows the issues and problems we face every day and he’s determined to do something about it.”

Anybody but Romney

If he gets the nomination, the GOP is going to have real problems, yet the RNC looks to be all in for him.

Whats needed now is for bona fide conservatives to start endorsing bona fide conservatives, and let Mitt twist in the wind.

Not holding my breath, because there are not a lot of GOP politicians with the stones to buck the RNC.

Perry voted for Carter in 1980 and Mondale in 1984.

The man is a closet liberal.

Beware the Trojan Horse!

Only Cain remains.

Romney WILL be the next president.

Let's hope he surprises us.

I'll bet he institutes Cap and Trade!
