As you all may have heard, Florida has decided to move it's primary date to January 31st. By doing this they have risked of losing half their delgates. Also this has caused the early states of Iowa, SC, NH and NV to now talk about moving their primary dates (possibly losing delegates) to early January or quite possibly the end of December. This will in turn make for a shorter and more intense campaign season. Today is the deadline for moving primary dates. State filing deadlines are fast approaching and we need to be ready to hit the ground running once Governor Palin announces. We are currently compiling the filing requirements in the way of fees and signatures for each and every state. Here in NC, our filing deadline is February 7, 2012 and requires no fee or signatures. Governor Palin said in an interview Thursday night w/Judge Napolitano on Fox Business that she is holding her politcal cards close to her chest. She also used the word we when referring to the candidates and the debates and even brought up the Palin Doctrine. She continued to appear like a presidential canidate. Governor Palin has not offically announced yet but it appears a move will be made very shortly.
>>Quite honestly, if you dont support her, what does it matter to you?<<
Anyone who steps into the echo-chamber with any statements not pre-sanctioned by Her Most Holy Acolytes will be damned by being called a liberal, a PDSer (the Palin Fringe Race Card), a commie, and, the worst epithet of all, a romney supporter (they haven’t stooped so low as calling detractors ron paul supporters but who knows what may show up in the next burst of vitriol and outright hate).
Hie thee to the nearest Gov. Palin Re-education Center (sponsored by her fringe supporters, not herself), to get a definitive list of what you are and are not allowed to say when referring to Gov. Palin.
The comments aren’t referring to her jerking around the supporters, the comment was that she also has to consider that if she doesn’t run, she may just end up a fading political memory of history.
She is making good money now, but that would fade as she becomes old news if she doesn’t stay in the thick of things IMO.
If she runs, she has a good chance to win.
Don’t run at all, fewer people are going to follow her down the road IMO.
Sheesh.. that was a leap. Who says I don’t support her?
I think my posts reflect rather clearly that I have been a supporter for a LONG time.
Why?
Because she hasn't said she isn't and if she wasn't she would have said so my now. Secondly, I believe she has studied Sun Tzu. When she enters the race, (and I'm convinced she will) it will be a tsunami, as Rush put it recently.
So what’s your purpose on this thread other than to throw verbal bombs? How petty is that.
Not ‘why’ ? ‘We’
“ She also used the word WEwhen referring to the candidates....
That sounded more like derision to me.
I hope she does come in and has a lot of momentum. Would be good for the whole country IMO.
Yes. She did.
This is like the game that college football plays. It is about control.
“I still dont get it - whats with the penalties of losing delegates for moving your primary? A state should have their primary whenever they want. Back when candidates traveled by roadway & railways... One could kind of make an argument. But with technology, airplanes, and the net - I just dont get it.”
The media and the all-important momentum are what matters now. The convention is just a show because the delegates are chosen and committed by mass numbers of voters that can be manipulated by the mass media, therefore; the nominee in reality is chosen by the perceptions that are created
in the minds of the mass of voters, reflected by the delegates chosen months before the convention of delegates.
That's not actually what she said. I remember seeing her on Hannity and, while she indicated that the end of September would be a good time frame, she did not explicitly say she was definitely going to make her decision known at that precise moment. A lot of people are just inferring that. It wasn't some sort of iron-clad promise she made,
The field keeps changing. Now Christie is a factor and Cain is up in the polls, Perry is down and and Bachman is way down. If she is looking for an opening, it is hard to see where it is right now.
“As a Palin supporter, I wonder how she’ll react with this new development?”
I’m not sure that she needs to react. Might change her announcement date by a few days is all. It is an interesting political move by her opposition, and it will be more interesting to see what reaction it provokes, if any.
Bullsh*t you wish she gets in. You are on every thread touting your man Perry. What you really meant to say is that you hope she doesn't get in, because her announcement will nuke the chances of your candidate, Rick Perry.
Someone had to call you out, and today it was me.
The people that made this crap possible are not going to be the people that will GOTV and do the everyday grunt work. It takes a lot of time and a lot of energy, and to crap all over us like this to ruin another Christmas Holiday time is beyond the pale. Holidays and campaigns do not go together, people do not pay attention and get annoyed if you push them.
This is almost like a typical Obummer blunder, which is really stark since Florida is the Host Community for the GOP Convention this time. AAGGGGHHHH!
Yeah, right. Fact is, many of us, Perry supporters and non-Perry supporters alike, hope she gets in because her dismal performance will finally put the kibosh on the Cult of Saint Sarah.
Because her teasing is keeping a large percentage of the conservative vote from even considering support for those who ARE in the race. She’s not going to run, but she is trying to set herself up as a Kingmaker.
