In a column for the Daily Caller, Tancredo, who ran twice for his party's presidential nomination in an effort to inject the illegal immigration issue into the larger debate, is slamming Perry for his soft policies on illegal immigration in Texas -- and what Tancredo calls his "Muslim blind spot."
"What is not yet as widely known about Perry is that he extends his taxpayer-funded compassion not only to illegal aliens but also to Muslim groups seeking to whitewash the violent history of that religion," Tancredo writes.
"Perry endorsed and facilitated the adoption in Texas public schools of a pro-Muslim curriculum unit developed by Muslim clerics in Pakistan."
Tancredo cites a study by The Center for Immigration Studies, which shows that 81% of the 279,000 jobs created in Texas in the past four years went to non-citizens, a high number of them illegal aliens, to discredit Perry's central presidential argument -- that he's overseen a 'Texas miracle' of job growth while the national economy continues to decline.
And in 2008, as Tancredo points out, Perry helped expand the Muslim Histories and Culture Project, a teacher-training program spearheaded by Texas Ismailis that introduces Islamic history and culture curricula into Texas schools.

who?
Tancredo unhinged, AGAIN!
Get back on your meds, Tom.
Soft on Illegals?....Muslim Blind spot??... that makes building blocks for the perfect R-I-N-O candidate.
The conservative circular firing squad continues, while Romney waltz’s to the nomination untouched.
The insiders are laughing at the tea party.
Is it bashing if it’s true and deserved?
“Irrelevant Guy Says...Something About...Someone...”
While I am by no means a 1 issue voter this is quite the issue if true. I wish I had more info or a rebuttal from Perry.

I see a lot of Republicans running, not conservatives.
Perry initiated a teacher-training program on Islamic history and helped to get that curricula introduced into Texas schools. I see no evidence this is a play to push Islam or Sharia Law, however.
Besides, Perry is a huge supporter and defender of Israel. Also, Perry wants the Feds to secure the border. Texas has spent $350 million since 2005 on border security. Plug the hole and the illegals will stop coming.
>>I see a lot of Republicans running, not conservatives.<<
Thank you!
Why are you blasting Tancredo when what he’s saying is TRUE!!! Amazing....
The insiders have always laughed at the tea party.
So, you think Texans are all wishy washy RINO type Americans? Because Perry has been Governor of Texas for 10 years. Tancredo on the other hand was not even re-elected to his seat in DC.....or any other position either.
Tancredo set back the issue of illegal immigation more than any other person, he allowed anyone against illegals to be painted as a nut job. He came here to Arizona and did considerable damage to our fight against illegal immigration, we had to fight like crazy to keep from being painted with his nutjob brush.
Looking at most of their posts, I don’t know how conservatives you can consider them. Imo, more malcontents then anything else. And yes, malcontent is the right label for them.
See #13.
I know Tom and I like Tom. Tancredo gets unhinged from time to time. This is one of those times. When Tancredo gets his nativist back up, he sounds stupid.
Romney fans dont seem to like Perry much.
