Political logic and election law suggest that anyone hoping to make a serious run for the White House next year will need to be formally in the race by November.
Sarah Palin isn't so sure.
' The former Alaska governor appeared on Sean Hannityâs Fox News show on Tuesday, where she hinted ever so slightly that the current "unconventional" political landscape may allow for a later entry. (At the least, she has already proved that the current landscape has allowed would - be candidates to drag out their decisions much longer than one would expect.)
Here was her response to Hannity's first question about whether she was ready to jump in the race: "There is still time, Sean, and I think on both sides of the aisle youâre going to see people coming and going in this race. ... And I'm still one of those still considering the time factor."

First it was Aug or early Sept. Thank after Labor Day and Constitution Day passed, it was announcing by the end of September. Now we have "post-November'.
There are legal deadlines coming up for certain states. If she is going to run it will be before those deadlines are reached.
Palin never said she was waiting until November, in the interview with Hannity she agreed that there are deadlines before November. The media, as usual, took her words out of context. Shame on you!
She didn’t say November...Sean brought it up like “you got to get in sometime, at least by November” then Palin responded
She didn’t say she was thinking about November or December
There’s nothing unconventional about the RNC convention. That’s where the candidate will be chosen.
No, I really do like you. I just don’t know if I’m ready to date yet... Maybe after a few more dates...

Hints, indications, rumors, omens, portents.
Has anyone sacrificed a spotless white bull and examined the liver?
How's that working out for them?
Palin ‘On the Verge’ of Decision on Presidential Bid
“Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has sent a fundraising letter to supporters saying that she is “on the verge” of making a decision about running for the presidency, The Des Moines Register reported Thursday.
The letter was written on Sept. 20 by Tim Crawford, the Treasurer of Palin’s political fundraising committee, SarahPAC.
“As you may know, Gov. Palin is on the verge of making her decision of whether or not to run for office,” Crawford writes. “It’s one of the most difficult and important decisions of her life.”
I guess two years weren’t enough for her to make up her mind. That’s what we want a president, who can make decisions...
I don’t give a rat’s ass if she decides to run next summer..she makes the rules instead of the media or us deciding for her. Right now I’m sick of Rico Perry and his pro-amnesty statement..
I’ll admit I haven’t a clue what she is up to with this “cat and mouse” game she is playing with the press. If she IS running, her announcement date isn’t carved in stone or so it seems.
I think Palin’s best chance is to wait for the GOP to nominate a stiff like Romney and then come in and win a three-way race.
Well at least she can form complete sentences and articulate her ideas when confronted by a hostile environment.
transcript: Palin on Hannity
Sept. 20, 2011
HANNITY: All right. I would say by November, you got to make your decision though, right?
PALIN: You do. I mean, legally, you do. Because you have to start getting your ducks lined up to have your name on these ballots. But I do think Sean; this is going to be such an unconventional election cycle. Because this has been such an unconventional administration that we are fighting so hard and so committed to replacing. Not just the administration but itâs the Senate, those who have followed like sheep behind President Obama and allowed him to do what he has done in terms of harm to our economy. We are committed to increasing the number of fiscal conservatives in the House of Representatives also.
So, you know, itâs a big agenda out there for those of us who are so extremely concerned about the future of our country and whether we are candidates or whether we are supportive of the right candidacies, weâre going to be out there working so hard in these next 14 months. But a lot is going to happen in these next 14 months. Mark my word; it is going to be an unconventional type of election process.

She can be as unconventional as she wants. Unfortunately for her, this is a very conventional US election with set in stone deadlines and rules.
It doesn’t matter anyway. She announced already on Constitution Day. At least that is what everyone swore was when she would announce last I heard. I haven seen a paper lately so I don’t know.
CAST THINESELF INTO THE PIT! No Human Knows the Time and Place wherein The Blessed Announcement shall be Made!
Thanks Clairity.
“There are legal deadlines coming up for certain states.”
The Iowa and NH deadlines aren’t until mid-december. Michigan may upset the cart a bit, but I doubt it.
all she said was that she AGREED with Sean that one has to be in by November, she didn’t say that was her timetable
nice try!
