After watching this debate is it any more evident that we need Sarah Palin in this race?

Posted on 09/22/2011 7:58:57 PM PDT by teg_76

Perry looked like a doofus, his immigration answers are demeaning.

Romney is a liberal used car sales man.

The others aren't gaining any traction.

Vladimir: We'll hang ourselves tomorrow. Unless Godot comes.
Estragon: And if he comes?
Vladimir: We'll be saved.

Spoiler alert!

Godot never shows.

Perry imploded. Gingrich rocked-again. Cain is really starting to come into his own.

I’m disgusted with the “conservative” movement working to elect Mitt Romney.

After tonight you could start with Rick Perry, who looked like he was throwing the debate.

His simpering demogoguery would have done a liberal democrat proud.

100 % need Sarah. She has the experience. SHE HAS THE PLAN. The rest of them are just stealing her plan. She had the guts, fortitude and fearlessness to say so when Obama and the wild radical Democrats are out of line. Republicans too for that matter.
She’s not emboldened or indebted to any one, no cronyism with her.

Perry has.

Romney stood tonight and said he would stand with the unions....that was nothing more than a signal for votes.

“we have to get these ducks in a row now!”

Why?

The convention is not for 11 months. The seven dwarfs obviously won’t beat Obama.

Sarah is the one. Hopefully she will stay out until the leaders self- destruct, which they will.

Agree, Cain/Newt.
I know that Newt is the smartest person on that podium. He just has so much baggage!
Cain would be great for the economy.
Somehow, we need to get Romney out of the picture. He cannot beat Obama.
Palin has something going on that is keeping her out. This book that just came out is throwing a lot of dirt her way. She needs to be a helping hand this time and run for Kyl’s senate seat.

Excuse me, but that is B.S.
The election is not until the second Tuesday of November NEXT YEAR.

Perry did not look great in this debate...but at least he showed up. Debates are an important part of the primary process.. Sarah could have been on stage tonight but chose not to. So she’s either not running, or she has no respect for the process, or she’s afraid to debate. All good reasons to not vote for her.

Hate to say it, but it's true. Romney is awful but Perry inspires no confidence whatsoever.

What is the fall-back position? Cain? At this point, he's my pick.

If Romney gets the nomination, I will be the first one out there beating the drum for a Palin 3rd Party run. She might actually have a shot of winning the darn thing!

“Then she’ll lose and we’ll still have Romney after you all have worked to destroy Perry. Thank you “conservatives”.”

The only person who can destroy Perry is Perry. He just isn’t all that strong of a candidate. As my governor, I would support Perry if it comes down to him or Romney, but I hope for a candidate that I can support based on enthusiasm for their policies. Palin is still the best choice given Perry’s weak performance so far.

“She needs to be a helping hand this time and run for Kyl’s senate seat.”

What a waste of talent that would be.......course it does satisfy the need to marginalize a well qualified leader, so that one of the lesser talents can have a shot of pulling a “McCain.”

Four debates down and nine more to go.......... Three more left in this year and six beginning in January. By late January we’ll have a better handle on which of the candidates is really coming to the front. Romeny is poised, slick and handles himself well. Perry isn’t ready for prime time but may improve as he gets more time in the ring. It’s still between them two, imo at this stage.

The remaining schedule if anyone is interested:

Republican Debate Schedule
October 11, 2011 (Bloomberg)
October 18, 2011 (CNN)
December 10, 2011 (ABC)
January 12, 2012 (PBS)
January 19, 2012 (CNN)
January 30, 2012 (Fox News)
Between February 7-13, 2012 (ABC)
Between February 19-27, 2012 (Fox News)
March 5th, 2012 (NBC)

The ‘book’ has nothing to do with Sarah’s decision or anything else. She is strategizing.

I agree Cain shines as always and I was glad he got more time tonight. He always clearly states the problem, and clearly states the solution with NO hesitation because he is real. Newt is good but as an idea-man not President. Perry needs to pack up and go home. Romney needs speech lessons, because he won’t go home, and I can’t stand to listen to his Obama cadance. Santorum has a lot of good solid answers but he’s too anxious and has no personality. Was there anyone else on stage? Not that I can remember.

So she’s either not running, or she has no respect for the process, or she’s afraid to debate. All good reasons to not vote for her.

There is a reason why Sarah Palin avoids any hostile interviewer like the plague. There is a reason why Sarah Palin only agrees to cream puff interviews on FOX with Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren.

Sarah Palin, like Obama, reads a great prepared speech. However, when thrown the slightest curve ball that she is not expecting, all Sarah Palin does is to tap dance furiously as she embarrassingly fills up air time hoping that the interviewer moves on.

Katie Couric Interview Video: Sarah Palin Can't Name a Newspaper She Reads

That is how Katie Couric destroyed Sarah Palin on prime time television simply by insisting that Palin put a name to any particular newspaper she reads.

Imagine Palin up on that debate stage, without the benefit of cream puff questions.
