Hate to say it, but it's true. Romney is awful but Perry inspires no confidence whatsoever.
What is the fall-back position? Cain? At this point, he's my pick.
If Romney gets the nomination, I will be the first one out there beating the drum for a Palin 3rd Party run. She might actually have a shot of winning the darn thing!

I believe the Obama sees only a sliver of hope of being re-elected, and that is a third party candidate that pulls votes from the GOP nominee, ala Perot, 1992. Whoever wins the GOP nod will be strong enough to beat him one-on-one, and he knows it.
