The establishment has nothing to do with traditionalism and conservatism.

It's the establishment that's trying to get us saying "Happy Holidays" instead of Merry Christmas.

While Sarah Palin's ideas are very Reaganesque it will take a lot more time and a lot more talking for Sarah Palin to articulate those great ideas she has than it took Ronald Reagan.

I see the opposite. Many more channels of communication nowadays.

Unsuccessful: January 20, 2007 - Sen. Hillary Clinton jumped into the fray as a 2008 presidential candidate with the words “I’m in”

Very good observation! She did start very very early. In fact, that was the earliest election I'd ever seen.

We must also consider the fact that the media picked Obama over Hillary. Whether she entered early or later Hillary should have been and would have been the nominee if the media did not carry the water for Obama. Obama is the media's President.

I see what you mean. It's a different look for Sarah Palin, but I can only speculate why.

The weather's changing and they have kids in school, could be a cold or lack of sleep? Or, like you said, sad or...?

Maybe she's trying to tone down her looks. I think she's a beautiful woman, but being that attractive can get in the way if you want people to take you seriously.

Regardless, her analysis was very good and she gave us plenty of teasers.

That’s funny, I thought she looked good. I actually thought she was trying a new, presidential, hairdo.

Perhaps you should listen to Ronald Reagan speeches. He was indeed the best speaker I've ever seen in a candidate. Also, the fewer channels means fewer choices which means less opportunity to miss a Reagan speech or debate.

Obama's skill is to put long college words together and make them sound good to the many shallow people out there listening and voting. They think he's so smart when he talks.

You and I know he said nothing but we have a lot of shallow people who think he said something meaningful when he really said nothing at all. Obama's a pro at lies and he's like a lawyer. He can get the murderer off and make the murderer appear to be the victim. That's what we're dealing with in debates with this man.

In case y’all haven’t heard this, I encourage you to.
I somehow stumbled on Stephen Bannon’s radio podcast
on KABC last weekend.

Had to listen to all the segments .. it was so fascinating .. about the gravity of Sarah’s Indianola speech with the NYT reporter who wrote that surprise complimentary piece, some Siskind Dem gal who was also impressed, and Scott Conroy.

I’ll never forget the tears of joy on Carl Cameron Fox News’ face when Obama won. Even the so called conservatives in media seemed to be jumping for joy.

I'm one of those who thinks the birther issue should have no place in the elections but the more I see this man destroy everything we had in America the more I doubt his past. He's hiding something and it's MAJOR! He cannot be American. Not even Hillary Clinton could have done this much damage.

Before Obama we were the number one most competitive nation in the world. Now we're number 5. Where will we be standing by the end of his term?

And look at Egypt and Libya and Yemen and now how we treat Isreal.

I had read that in order for Michelle to marry him he had to convert to Christianity.

I think if we were able to see all the things this man has sealed we would be in for a BIG surprise. I doubt he even had a law license. I think this man lied his way from the streets of NYC all the way to Chicago. We're been duped BIG TIME.

We're in deep trouble. This man's in the WH until jan 2013.

I didn't say Reagan wasn't the best speaker and I'm very familiar with Reagan's speeches. What I did say is that there are more channels of communication today and there's more of a chance for a candidate to quickly get out their message unfiltered by the establishment media.

We've got a long way to go before jan 20th 2013 (assuming he loses).

Until then I fear we in America will lose a lot more.

To save face, if he does lose in 2012, the next President needs to get to the bottom of his past, his records (the real ones) and if he was a fraud we need to tell the world that Capitalism did not fail. We had a fake in the White House for 4 years. We need to save face. If not for us for the people in former Communist countries who were leaning in our direction seeing that (by example) our system was the best.

I think she's not in yet because Michele Bachamann is in. She probably does not want to jump in as long as Bachamann is in. I think it's time Bachmann step down and let a former governor jump in. Governors always have the best chance at winning the Presidency. Bachmann's now becoming a burden. In my opinion, Palin's just being polite and staying out for as long as Bachmann is in. Bachmann seems to think she can win the nomination. If she does, I doubt she can win the Presidency. That means she's a waste of time. Don't get me wrong, I like Bachmann but the truth is the truth. She really has no chance in the general election. We need her more where she's at now, In the House.

It's time Bachmann step down so Sarah Palin will jump in.

I`ve been all over the map with Palin, but I think her focus on crony capitalism is brilliant in a Clintonian way--It may be the ultimate qtriangulation` issue because it has attraction for voters of any persuasion. Who is FOR crony capitalism? No one. Who is DOING something about it? No one--and Obama is finally being seen by even some on the left as benefitting from it.

I keep veering between Palin and Perry. Palin simply doesn`t have enough experience, and she quits [don`t bother flaming or arguing, I`ve heard it all and my mind won`t be changed--mayor of Wasilla would make her a laughing stock here were she a dem]. Perry is just wrong where illegals are concerned. Palin SAYS all the right things. Perry puts his money where the Republican Party`s mouth is where abortion is concerned. Their negatives would normally be deal-breakers for me; their positives would normally get me behind them. The rest of the field are non-starters, either is preferrable to Obama.
