Complete Headline: Sarah Palin snorted cocaine off 55 gallon oil drum and had affairs with NBA star and husband's business partner: Sensational claims in new book

Sarah Palin snorted cocaine off a 55 gallon oil drum while snowmobiling with friends and had elicit affairs with a top NBA star and one of her husband's business partners, a new book sensationally claims.

In revelations which could strike a devastating blow to the controversial politician's hopes of joining the 2012 presidential race, Mrs Palin is said to have snorted the class A drug off an oil drum with her husband.

Joe McGinniss's book The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin, which is due to be published on September 20, also alleges that the former governor of Alaska is far from the traditional family woman she claims to be.

Mrs Palin, 47, had a one-night stand with Miami Heat basketball star Glen Rice less than a year before she eloped with her husband, the book claims.

She is said to have met the 6ft 8ins player in 1987 when he was playing in a college basketball tournament in Alaska and she worked as a sports reporter for KTUU television.

It is also claimed that she carried on an affair with Brad Hanson, who ran a snowmobile dealership with her husband Todd - a betrayal which led to Todd dissolving their business.

Well, Scanian, under the same circumstaces, I’d also have resigned. Note how she turned a disappointment into a triumph, and at the moment she has much more influence than she’d have had as Alaska Governor. Blessings, Bob

Civility is something needed far more on FR today than just about anything else. I have also been praying today for your recovery.

One thing for you to consider... there are far too many of us that support Palin for what you say to be true... and IF she announces... that will become crystal clear. Polling today is a propaganda tool... unless it is internal party polling. Even Rasmussen's polling that you have to pay for is different from his regular public polling. That was my point.

ALL of this will be settled at the ballot box... and anyone that is qualified should be encouraged to run if they want to. We certainly could use some fresh input to this stale panel of "politicians". That is my opinion... it is one shared by many... too many to be dismissed with a few posts on FR.

The thing that sours me most on Palin is SHE QUIT HER JOB!

Hate to plagiarize Joe here, but me thinks, You Lie.

So what would you like, a pile of character references?

If there is anything I have learned in my old age it is to be highly objective about myself.

Self-deception, “feelings,” and allegiance to a person rather than principles seem to be the order of the day on this thread....as you say, a lá liberalism.

Very disappointing.

Another thought: This may not even be in the book when it goes to press. This could just be a cheap shot across Palin’s bow that also attempts to goose sales of what’s very likely to be a dud.....

I don't care if you consider them ‘in the gutter’ or not.

Not up to me, what you do, several on this thread got all giddy over the remarks, just like the mindless little twits that had the temerity to ask such a stupid question of the President of The United States.

If we don't save the culture then who cares who is elected? The Republic will be cast on the ash bin of History and we will not like what comes next.

Well, then, Bob, what circumstances would justify the resignation of a president?

Heat gets too hot? Press gets too nasty?

When they jump in they have to know that things can get ugly. And all major candidates retain counsel to advise them about the legal ramifications. Right up front.

lol....Joe what’s his name really wants to sell his book. I almost thought this was a gag story because the headline was so over the top.

You can think all you want but I am leveling with you people.

If you can blow off somebody quitting his/her job as governor of a state tells me that you must be a Kool-Aid drinking cultist.

You don’t know me and I don’t know you, so cut out the attacks on personal integrity.

Stick to candidates, issues, and policy and leave out the rest. Politicians are public figures so they are exceptions to that rule.

I think much of what we see relating to Palin is from people that can’t stand the thought of a woman president.

I see, so we are supposed to just blow off all attacks on the character of public figures.

And since when is the character and reputation of a politician a popularity contest?

The fact is, McGiness’ allegations have been around for quite some time. Nothing new about them. They were hinted at at least 2 years ago.

A 23 year old chick snorting blow in 1987? Or sleeping around? What a SHOCK!

It just builds and builds about her.

And “fear” has nothing to do with it. Revulsion is more likely.

And, to reiterate something I said before, why do the salacious attacks just come after CERTAIN GOP women, namely Haley and Palin? Why not Bachmann or Blackburn or the new congresswoman from Dakota?

Just that fact alone makes me wonder.

We can do much, much better than electing tainted candidates.

Your mileage may vary. As for me, IMO we get enough crap against conservatives in the MSM without getting it from so-called conservatives on FR. We should always decry shameful unprincipled attacks on our own, no matter where it comes from.

Because you WANT to go there. Basically you are rewarding the MSM attack approach by the reaction to their level of vitriol in your own mind, and quite frankly that is pathetic.

We can do much, much better than electing tainted candidates.

We can do a lot better on FR than trolls who lap up MSM attacks.

Well, I would expect folks who have been on FR for some time to have acquired enough history and discretion to examine the source and that source's motives in assessing the proper veracity to the allegations, or lack thereof. Apparently your PDS has hindered that ability (but that seems to be a common symptom of PDS).

When Governor Palin declares, the organized volunteers that spring from the short grass will out number the staff of all other candidates combined, and this will happen in each and every state.

Her campaign funds will approach 500 million within thirty days. She will walk to the nomination and walk away with the election.

I sincerely hope your treatment goes well so that come November 2012 I can tell you “I told you so”. Have a good day.

None. A President has infinite resources to deal with bogus charges, and as we’ve found with the Fraud, even truthful ones can be dismissed. A quitter does not travel to Wisconsin, and tongue-lash union thugs face-to-face in a major speech. This gal has balls, Sir! Bob

So it’s true...proximity matters more than looks? Absence does NOT make the heart grow fonder? or is it more of “the grass is always greener” thing?
