I can’t argue with anything you said, BUT, Newt’s not gonna be the nominee, even though Palin complimented him on Greta tonite and semi-trashed Perry’s cronyism re Gardasil. A lot of $3 bills are starting to show up with Perry’s picture. He doesn’t have to worry about that coyote he shot anymore, but the pack of wolves are starting to gather.

Eaker, I knew about the opt-out clause, but I was nonetheless offended that my Governor would issue an edict from on high, forcing my daughter to take this vaccine, unless I signed a piece of paper choosing otherwise.

I think (and apparently so do lots of others, including the Texas legislature) that it was wrong, heavy-handed, and a slap in the face of our shared American principles to go about it that way.

I got the impression that Perry thought the same thing upon further reflection and admitted that he was wrong. I don't fault him for his passionate desire to protect girls from cervical cancer; and I do appreciate him saying that he was wrong.

Yeah, I saw that too. Perry said he is not for sale for 5,000. Bachmann could have impaled him. She missed it.

OK, I'll type real slow so you can keep up.

The republican form of government (not the party, they form) was determined by our forefathers to be the best type of government. The reason they didn't want a DEMOCRATIC form of government is because it's like 3 wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner.

We weren't talking about illegals we were talking about the Texas legislature voting (you know that whole representative republic thingy) that they wanted the dream act and sending that law to the governnor to be signed. Was that slow enough for you, are you able to keep up with the conversation now?

The federal Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 “prohibits states from providing a postsecondary education benefit to an alien not lawfully present in the United States on the basis of residence unless any U.S. citizen or national is eligible for the same benefit.”

11 states have done an end-run on the federal law by allowing anyone who meets a residency requirement to get in-state tuition regardless of immigration status. Thus, it would be available to any US citizen if he/she met the residency requirement. There is an ongoing court case on the Texas law and bills were introduced this session in the Texas legislature to repeal the law.

It is illegal for illegals to work in the US and it is illegal for anyone to hire them. So why are we subsidizing their higher education? And it is illegal for them to collect welfare and other benefits, i.e., the dole. Perry's position on immigration and securing the border could very well end his chances of getting the nomination.

Just saw that on Greta’s rerun.

I think it is good she is, to use her term, keeping him accountable. This is not one of Rick Perry’s best decisions, and this situation needs to be vetted. Might as well do it now while it’s still inside the Republican party.

"Ron Paul - OMFG just when you thought Paul couldn't get any nuttier! he quotes OBL! I would of loved to have seen a huge hook appear and drag him off the stage or maybe some doctors arrive and put him into a straight jacket before they haul him off the stage."

I read a comment on another site about the email and the opinion of the poster was that it was a setup. From reading her facebook page it’s not going over well at all.

I find it ironic that Palin condemns Perry for crony capitalism while she’s on the payroll of Fox News while making that claim.

Why would she endorse anybody? She said she has a great gig, she says things and the next day all the candidates are adopting her position. She endorses one, and the others stop listening.

If she doesn’t run, I don’t expect her to endorse anybody. She’ll keep critiqueing them, trying to get them to change for the better, and she’ll find candidates across the country to support, she’ll raise an army and send them to congress.

"On a side note, whoever does her hair and makeup needs to be fired. Her eyeshadow in particular makes her look crazy and her hair style just isn't very flattering on her. She is actually a very pretty lady, but you can barely see it."

Just some impressions, but it seems when Bachmann walks out to meet a crowd, she is confident and has an "open" demeanor. But when she was at the podium, it appeared that she was scrunched up like a little old lady. The men generally stood in "open" or "confident" positions. Bachmann needs to learn how to stand with confidence at the podium. As for make-up, I won't even attempt to opine. I will leave that to the experts - the female FReepers. But, yes, she needs to do something else, I just don't know what.

I will repost my question to your assertion that Texas was following the Constitution.

Where in the Constitution does it mandate that an illegal will get a special privilege over a citizen?

Can you answer that or not?

I've liked Sarah Palin, but I heard her say that and found it somewhat unbecoming.

Ah yes, federal law, and we all know how well that is being enforced. Here is Arizona we arrest them and then have to turn them over to the feds who promptly release them to drive drunk on our street, rape and rob people in their own homes. Texas has decided that the kids who are going to school and want to be citizens should have the chance to do it. That’s their choice since the feds won’t do anything to help the situation.

Romney has a problem that I only notice in debates also, he must have large brows or something because under stage lighting like they have in debates it casts a shadow over his eyes which doesn’t agree with him, they need to either change the angle of the lights or add some additional lighting that’s lower or something for him because it just makes him look bad

No, its not over the top, it is completely accurate.

The time, and specific diet vary depending on the type of cancer, and the level of progression.

Webster Kehr’s site has the necessary information for all types. There is such a thing as “too late” though. That isn’t the fault of the treatment.

With the AMA method, the patient never gets the chance to die of cancer; the therapy kills them first.

Indeed she did, she missed a golden opportunity. I do not like Perry and there is no way I will vote for him unless the polls strongly show he can beat the Muslim Kenyan Marxist. Sarah cut her hair, she’s running, get ready.
