Why the need to lie about his position?

And how about the candidates who showed up before Perry announced? Or before Romney joined the debates?

Oh yeah, TPaw had his bell rung.

Right now I think Cain is the only worthy one of the bunch.

The guy told the truth and you think he should be savaged for it? What kind of a person are you?

The truth is SS is a giant Ponzi scheme and the young people will never see a penny of it. Perry is to be applauded for having the courage to defend his position.

I recall Bush tried to warn the country about SS and he, too, was savaged. Our country is in deep doo doo.

Cain won the debate to me. Followed by Bachmann. Both had good comments on various issues. Perry was so-so. He had a lot to defend, but was given a lot of time to talk. Hunstman and Paul were brutal. Newt is not that great, but he did good tonight. Santorum was bad, but got nothing much. Mitt was decent at times, but I wouldn’t support him no matter what. Still lukewarm on Perry and Romney. I don’t want Perry or Romney to be honest. Not when Cain was so good tonight. Bachmann did well too. Bachmann is better than Rick. IMO.

It wasn't a question of safety over freedom. It was a question of safety over stupidity and insurance manipulation. Perry wins.

I’ll NEVER be able to read such a long thread. Bottom line....who won...and who lost...and who was the most looney. :)

I didn't watch MSLSD - just followed along on the thread to read others' reactions. There were apparently some good to great performances, and also some stinkers.

Huntsman supports AGW, so he's just lost 98% of the Republican base. Newt kicked the moderator hard, right near the beginning, and put the dolt (and the whole MSM) in their place. Perry's been holding his own, and even Mitt impressed somewhat. Cain barely got in a few at-bats, but he did great when he was up. Bachmann did alright, but few surprises. Ron Paul confirmed beyond a shadow of doubt that he's the loon we all think he is.

Not bad, overall, but I'm not sure I can pick a winner.

I didn’t hear the speech by Obozo...I suspect I didn’t miss a thing not heard already. More spending and false promises is his game no matter how he frames it...looking for another slush fund to add to and take from for his own personal interests....

Newt as Press Secretary...for Mitt Romney. Veep: Michelle Bachmann. Sec of Health: Ron Paul. Sec of Education: Rick Santorum. Sec of Commerce: Herman Cain. Attorney General: Rick “Fry ‘Em” Perry.

Limo Chauffeur: Huntsman

What is wrong, by the way, with being a "fanatical family values freak"?

To me, there is nothing wrong with it. I'm a freak myself. However, through MSNBC's eyes, they consider it a negative and worthy of ridicule. So the demons want to put it on display because they believe it will hurt Republicans throughout secular America.

What a joke these debates are. The Ronald Reagan library and you have flaming commie libs saying who won a Conservative debate. They may as well been speaking Russian for all they knew, just more hatred for these clowns.

Pray for America

Santorum did seem unprepared at times, but I don’t think out, as no one really pulled off a perfect moment even as close as Newt came, I’d say look for a better day for all

Does ANYONE here think that Santorum won the debate? I couldn’t watch it myself. Thanks, Bob
