Former US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates blasted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying that his policies were ungrateful towards the US and were isolating Israel on a global level.
Gates harsh words were said during a meeting of the National Security Council Principals Committee, Bloombergs Jeffrey Goldber reported Tuesday.
Gates believes Netanyahus government has offered the Obama administration nothing in return for its generous security aid, which includes access to top-quality weapons, assistance in developing missile-defense systems and high-level intelligence sharing.
The former defense secretary said that not only is Netanyahu ungrateful, but his polices were endangering his country by refusing to grapple with Israels growing isolation and with the demographic challenges it faces if it keeps control of the West Bank.
Bloomberg added that Gatess analysis met with no resistance from other committee members.

Now all the Perry bots are going to get you.
This will be one of the greatest betrayals in history. Woe to us for electing this villain as president because if this happens America is doomed.
If you're not a Christian, you'd best become one ASAP since your survivalist retreats, provisions and guns will not save you otherwise. If you are a Christian, prepare to protect yourself and your family. God will be with you if you are with Him.
"I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread." - Psalm 37:25
Is THAT why Obammy had Netanyahu enter The White House through the back door? Is THAT why he left him there, by himself, while he went upstairs to dine with his family, telling him to "call me if anything changes"?
There's ungratefulness, but not on Bebe's part.
We spy on each other.....which, again, backs up my case, that “loyality” “gratitude” and “friendship” have nothing to do with the Israel/U.S. relationship.

What—pray tell— has the Muslim Brother Barry soetoro aka Barak Hussein Obamba II offered Israel of any credible value?
For that matter what has he done to make America a better place? I can think of 0 as answer to both.
Gates and James “I Hate Israel” Baker are two peas in the pod.
I think what troubles me the most is the Israeli State has stolen our secrets and sold them to China.
I have always believed one of the main reasons America has been so blessed was our support of Israel. If we abandon Israel, I fear God will abandon America.
I thought Clinton had already sold China all our secrets.
The Israeli State has been doing this long before clinton. They have continued since clinton.
No, I do not. Is there any question but that England has been a loyal ally to us? I think not - but neither do we rely on their press releases.
Israel is a democracy surrounded by dictators and Islamic radicals who want to destroy it. They do not always follow our lead, thank God, but they are the only country in the region that shares American values.
Obama & Gates have a hard time recognizing that since Obama & Gates don’t care about American values.
Yeah, they’ll stay under the bus and LIKE it!
Ungrateful because they won’t march into the gas chamber on command.
Robert Gates should understand that we are just as reliant on Isreal for middle eastern intelligence as they are to us for security. And why are we focused on Isreal when we have far greater threats from the radicalized Islamists. Hello Iran and Pakistan may blow up as well. North Korea is marginalized at the moment but big Red China has aims all it’s own in the South China sea and they have the GDP to get it done. I question our leaders and only see alternative motivations in everything they do. Sarah Palin needs to articulate what her position is on foreign policy more assertively to get the world’s attention. I am impressed with Sarah Palin’s tenacity and cleverness. Her integrity is established with me and I support her candidacy.
