60% Say Palin Run Would Hurt the GOP
Rasmussen Reports ^ | 9/2/11 | Rasmussen

Posted on 09/02/2011 12:33:40 PM PDT by CA Conservative

A plurality (47%) of Likely U.S. Voters believe it is at least somewhat likely that Palin will enter the presidential race, but that includes only 13% who feel it’s Very Likely. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 35% think a Palin bid is unlikely, but just five percent (5%) say it’s Not At All Likely. Eighteen percent (18%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Only 18% of voters think it would be good for Republicans if Palin entered the race. Sixty percent (60%) say it would be bad for the party, while 11% predict it would have no impact. Twelve percent (12%) are not sure.

Even most Republicans (52%) believe it would be bad for the GOP if Palin threw her hat in the ring, a view shared by 74% of Democrats and 54% of voters not affiliated with either major party.

I'm looking at this from a poly sci factor and money is so important. I ain't watching the debate because I don't care about hearing their garbage.

Sarah has one thing the rest don't, charisma.

Barry had charisma and remember I met the bum in person and spoke to him for a good ten minutes when he was my Senator. He has more charisma than anyone I've ever met in person.

If anyone can rally the grassroots conservative base who are the backbone of this country it is Sarah. I am just starting to panic about the time issue and money issue.

But I also don't like seeing folks say they would rather have Obama than any of the candidates now. I'd even take nut case Ron Paul over Obama. He is a Leninist there is no doubt about that. This man is the most dangerous thing to hit this country. I feel like we've lost our country.

Now today we hear Zero and Holder tried covering Fast and Furious. And I believe that those Navy Seals killed a few weeks ago were killed in order to appease the Islamofacists.

I want Sarah to run but I want to hear her announce sooner than later these stupid primaries continue to start earlier and earlier. (Another reason why I believe we should have a NATIONAL primary day). If we had a national primary date I guarantee McLame wouldn't have been the candidate.

I've seen that opinion/emotion expressed by Palin supporters many, many times.

Let me just say that you lack veracity. You make wild statements and NEVER back them with a link.

It didn’t help Romney in 2008!

Money is not the real game changer in elections, honesty and integrity buy more votes.

P.S. I have my contribution sitting in a bank account waiting for the word from her. Do you?

If she announces she would get the MAXIMUM amount I can legally donate to her, so please don't question my support for her. I've been on onyx's and virginia's Sarah Palin Ping Lists for a long time.

There sure seems to be an all-out assault to discourage her run! The cronyists are terrified! I think they also realize that once she starts an official campaign, they won’t stand a chance.

If Palin enters the primaries, Romney will be the GOP nominee.

100% of Palin’s army don’t care about phony establishment polls.

Pray for America

Your either being disingenuous or lack fully developed reading comprehension skills if you say that Palin supporters haven’t been posting the sentiment that they will either write her in or not vote if she’s not on the ballot. And if you think I’m going to do a search for those banal posts to provide you with a list of links you’re sadly mistaken.

Palin has 100% name recognition.
Money wouldn’t be an issue for her in either primaries or the general.

I fact I think there will be so much advertising in the 2012 race that the average voter will be disgusted with all the radio and tv adverts by next September.

""Sixty-one percent (61%) of voters say the 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate is not qualified to be president."

That's pretty funny, when 80%+ of the voters aren't qualified to opine on Palin's qualifications as they haven't the slightest clue about the facts regarding her experience and accomplishments.

The good news is the other side of this glass-half-empty title. 39% are fine with or support a Palin presidential run.

Hell, that's more than Perry or Romney are drawing right now.

LMAO!!!

So.. just to be clear.. if Palin isn’t the nominee, you’re OK with Obama getting a second term?

Don't care. Both the country and the GOP will get the President they deserve.

For once we agree Grandma. The polls are consistent. The problem with citing polls, however, is in assuming they are static. You folks who have already written Palin off seem to be of the opinion that campaigning isn’t necessary. I personally would like to see what happens in the only polls that matter after Palin has been on the campaign trail for 5-6 months.

some want to poo poo the polls, they are consistent and the likelihood of Palin ever becoming president are extremely low.

There ya go again.

Dengar01 have patience I don’t believe Sarah would hang us out to dry. I have had my moments too but I always come back to, if not Sarah who? Well at this juncture there is no one else.

All I know is I’m with Sarah.

Romney is a phony now, he was a phony in 2008 and remember that the Iowa Caucuses draw the grassroots conservatives. We as conservatives aren't fooled by charlatans like Romney.

Maybe country club repubs believe romney is conservative but I believe we have the country club repubs to thank for giving us McLame as a candidate.

I think Sarah will get the majority of her money from everyday people like you and me not country club elitists. They'll support the RINOs every time.

I worked for an Illinois Congresswoman and went to an event in 2007 which was suppose to be a fundraiser for local GOP candidates, it was full of country club repubs who were going around trying to get money for.... RUDY!!! These people are nuts and living in their own little world. They don't have any respect for us grassroots conservatives.

Sarah Palin stands for 100% of what I believe in, none of the current candidates even come close.

My panic is I want Sarah to announce, go town to town and rally the base. Sure Romney and Perry can have their expensive fund raisers but I guarantee we can raise just as much money as there will be hundreds of thousands if not millions of right wing conservatives who will donate to Sarah in a heart beat.

I know I sound like an alarmist but I want her to get attention now! I want her to get money now! And more than anything I want her to debate the tools running because she can tear the RINOs to shreds!!! You know that is a fact!
