Sarah Palin will swoop into Iowa and New Hampshire to speak at tea party rallies this Labor Day weekend, whipping up talk she will announce her candidacy for president. After all, this coming Saturday will mark the third anniversary of her acceptance speech for vice president at the Republican National Convention a speech which established her as both a conservative icon and a magnet for criticism.
Her supporters are certainly encouraging talk she will be a 2012 candidate. Peter Singleton, her Iowa political organizer, told National Reviews Robert Costa last month: I believe she will run. Labor Day will kick off the Republican campaign for the nomination. She is going to make a major, major speech.
But Team Palin is extremely sensitive about anyone else who speculates about what shes up to. Karl Rove, President Bushs political strategist, told Fox News last month he thought Palins schedule in Iowa meant she would announce her candidacy this coming weekend. That prompted this riposte from Team Palin on the website of her PAC:
Any professional pundit claiming to have inside information regarding Governor Palins personal decision is not only wrong but their comments are specifically intended to mislead the American public.
At the risk of being accused of misleading people, let me state that Sarah Palin isnt running for president.

Pfffft. Obviously, he hasn’t one clue about Organizing for Palin in every state which has been going on for almost one year.
Get real. Fund isn’t solid. Maybe in your mind.
Fund is not claiming to know for sure. Part of his job is to speculate, and that’s what he’s doing. There is nothing unfair about it. Frankly, I don’t understand the defensiveness when someone speculates that Sarah isn’t running. All one can do at this point is speculate.
Sarah is the only person that knows for sure.
Isn’t funny that a bunch of girls wearing shirts for Perry are flocking to Palin?!?!?!?
Sorry, he has already said he has no source. He is just busy putting out the fire he started while burning his bridges.
BTTT
So she should’ve refused to be photographed with people because of their t-shirts. Yeah that would’ve gone over well with the press who are constantly looking to nitpik everything she does.
Cindie
Well, of course she isn’t running, no one’s heard of her, no one talks about her, how can anyone take an obscure housewife from Wasilla seriously...just a flash in the pan, 15 minutes of fame, besides, all the polls show that 74% of women say her boobies can’t possibly be real, how can you trust those breasts with the highest office in the land. Case closed...well, it will be closed if more Rinos would sit on it...
El Sarcasmo.
Oh yeah, that’s why she’s focusing on crony capitalists tomorrow—because she’s about to endorse Perry.

LOL. That's right! It's clearly a sign that Perry is going to endorse Palin!!!
Fund, BTW, is the epitome of beltway RINOism. You can bet his wishful thinking goes into much of what he's written.
I hear Palinista’s head exploding all over FR. LOL!
F*** John Fund. He’s just another in a long line of Elitist pigs who have virtually destroyed our country.
Please. This doesn’t have anything to do with Fund. You’re cocked and primed to attack anybody who suggests that Palin might not be the next president, for whatever reason. If he’d written that Palin was likely to run and might very well win, would he still be an idiot? I don’t theenk so.
As I said before, doesn’t anyone see the irony in having Perry supporters rushing to shake Sarah’s hands. They’re wearing another guy’s shirt but flocking to her. Hilarious. If anything, its a swipe at Perry.
Any professional pundit claiming to have inside information regarding Governor Palins personal decision is not only wrong but their comments are specifically intended to mislead the American public.
do you not understand?
If he'd said it based on a misquote and somebody else's T-shirt, then yes. He would still be an idiot.
No, what you hear is a bunch Perrydrones on their knees praying Fund is right. Big difference.
