Does washington even have a fault zone? Epicenter was west of Richmond. There are numerous old, not very active, faults in the Shenandoah Valley, the Blue Ridge and piedmont.

Thanks again. The graphic that Fox showed was very elementary.

We felt it here in northern Vermont. Google Earth says we are 511 miles away from the epicenter. Pretty amazing.

“cellular service is disrupted all over the area.”
More likely it is stressed rather than down.

Thank you God, but could you please hold off on the earthquakes until he gets home from vacation?
Thank you.

I AM NO LONGER AN EARTHQUAKE VIRGIN I slept through one many years ago in NJ. And did not feel this one even though friends all over town did. So I can't say if that makes me still an earthquake virgin or not.

I thought it was me! OMG...I was walking a clients dog and was oddly disoriented...like dizzy. Ugh?
PS...the dog laid down too, right in the middle of the walk.

Northern Virginia: books, maps, photos knocked off shelves all over the house. Water sloshed out of cat bowls. A large hourglass took a high dive off a bookcase to its doom. The Ann Coulter doll somebody gave me on the first FR cruise also fell, but is made of sterner stuff. Cats are gradually emerging from under beds.

Felt it in Southwestern Pa. I used to live in Southern California so I’m used to it. But people here are all shook up about it. Hopefully it’s not a prelude to something worse.
To: SoCal Pubbie
LOL! Didn’t feel a thing in San Fran.
