Add Karl Rove to the list of people Sarah Palin's camp is denouncing.
POLITICO's Juana Summers flags this statement from the Sarah PAC website, which - without naming him - takes an unmistakable swipe at the former White House adviser to George W. Bush:
Three years ago DC pundits predicted with glee the demise of Sarah Palin's political career. This past weekend their tune changed, citing false information that she has made a decision and set a date regarding a future campaign.
Any professional pundit claiming to have "inside information" regarding Governor Palin's personal decision is not only wrong but their comments are specifically intended to mislead the American public. These are the same tired establishment political games that fuel the 24 hour news cycle and that all American's will hopefully reject in 2012, and this is more of the "politics-as-usual" that Sarah Palin has fought against throughout her career.

Rove had said on Fox News last weekend that he believed Palin was running, based in part on her schedule in Iowa (as best as I can tell she only has the one, large-scale event in Des Moines scheduled, for Sept. 3).
Peter Hamby of CNN noted earlier that there is not exactly a river of trust between Palin and Rove, but the public pushback was a bit of a surprise.

I saw the interview. The ratmedia is distorting what Rove said.
He did not say with any certainty that Sarah will run. He said he would put more money on it than against it. IOW, sort of a 60-40% proposition.
It was not an unreasonable comment IMO.
Got a completely different take on the reason for the pushback, than the article:
This is Palin, publicly distancing herself from Rove.
Doesn’t want him self-aggrandizing on her campaign. Imho.

Rove is also worried that the Palin admin. would make the Bush admin. look almost as liberal as the Obama admin. by comparison.

Rove did some great things in the past but he's been off the reservation for so long now he no longer has credibility with conservatives. His boy Mitt will NEVER overcome RomneyCare. It is, was and shall always be his Waterloo.
Sarah is and can still be a powerful voice for conservatism without running.
I don't know about Perry...don't quite trust him...yet.

I take it a complement if you deem me in need of “professional help”. Debate of the ideas—never—can’t do it. Pederasty is being legalized right now by the UN and Germany and the APA is debating the issue—to remove it from “mental Illness” exactly how they were forced in the 70’s to remove homosexuality from their mental illness list. Allot of things happen in 21 years. Based on the way Rove spins his rehetoric on the news media, I speculate that Rove does not like Perry. It’s still early, we will see all the tails come out soon.
