n a motion to dismiss rape charges against Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Manhattan prosecutors today reported that an analysis of carpet stains in the Frenchman’s $3000-per-night Sofitel hotel room “contained the semen and DNA” of three unknown men, while a stain on the room’s wallpaper contained the semen and DNA of a fourth unknown man.
The revelation that the swanky 28th floor suite was semen-soaked is contained in a footnote in a New York State Supreme Court recommendation for dismissal filed by prosecutors with the Manhattan district attorney’s office.
As for the source of that stray semen, investigators noted that, “the circumstances under which the unidentified DNA was deposited are unrelated” to the encounter between the 62-year-old Strauss-Kahn and hotel maid Nafissatou Diallo.
On August 8, Diallo, 32, filed a civil lawsuit accusing Strauss-Kahn, former head of the International Monetary Fund, of sexually assaulting her in mid-May at the Times Square-area hotel.

Uggghhh! I do NOT walk barefoot in any motel room and I used to own a no-tell-motel. Back in the day, I cleaned my hotel rooms! Today, people are sleazy and lazy and corps that own the motels are cheap a$$ and money crazy. I’m going to look for a newer, better, updated motor home tomorrow. Enough is enough and I don’t even travel!

If you see how these hotels clean their rooms, it is not surprising. They go over the floors, not with a vacuum, but with a sweeper, which just gets the visible stuff on top. They make their beds without changing sheets until they can see the sheets are stained. And the comforter on top rarely ever gets replaced. And the couches and chairs, rarely ever are they cleaned, unless they themselves look soiled.
You take you health into your own hands when you go into these places.

I agree completely. That to me is the ideal place to stay when on a trip. I abhor hotels/motels and have for many years.

I don’t know if he did or not, but it would seem the dismissal is either bought or traded for.
If it was you or me, or anybody else not connected to power, and they had DNA and a poor maid with a traumatic story, that prosecutor would fight tooth and nail to hang us, even on less evidence. And even if we didn’t have a history of women saying we attacked them.
If DSK was just an average guy, he’d be screwed.

I guess Ann has never been bitten by bedbugs! Having had the experience, personally I’d prefer to put up with a few old semen stains. Heck, they are stains, not fresh semen - I don’t see the big deal.
Of course Ann has recently joined the Advisory Council or whatever of a gay/lesbian GOP group so maybe she has a particular aversion to that particular type of ah, residue. ;-)
