The Obama Administration today announced a virtual amnesty-by-decree for hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens, whose deportations will be “indefinitely delayed”. In addition, Obama finally announced a jobs program – but for ILLEGAL ALIENS, not citizens – as those 300,000 illegals will also become eligible for “work permits“.

This action represents an administrative end-run around Congress, which twice rejected the ‘DREAM Act’ in 2010. As disgraceful as is this usurpation of Congressional authority, this announcement is even worse than is being reported.

A pathway to citizenship is amnesty whether Bush, McCain, or Obama proposes it.

In this case the amnesty is removing the penalty for being an illegal alien. Not only removing the penalty but rewarding it! You know what is said about rewarding a behavior.

Flooding the country will illegals, who are a mix of low skill workers, high skill professionals, human and drug traffickers, and Jihadis is one of the crucial issues facing the US today. It is directly tied to the destruction of our national security, our economy, our traditional culture, our freedom, and directly tied to our ever expanding government.

Supporting her is most assuredly your choice, but at least be honest about her position - she is for a pathway to citizenship aka amnesty. No politician-like parsing will change that.

Well, I suppose more people would be outraged if they knew about this, but since it has gone completely unreported in the mainstream media (except for the NY Post's online blog), there's been little reaction.

The media has been far more interested in reporting on Republican candidate "gaffes" and how Obama really hasn't taken as many vacation days as Bush or Reagan (casually omitting Obama's 20 trips to Camp David in their day count, and also that his predecessors frequently worked from their ranches, and it is unfair to count those days as "vacation" time).

Hard to think about this one.

First ...yes totally agree with the idea that this is bought votes potentially.

Second, if these 300,000 permits are for low wage jobs...the only thing they contribute to is SS.

Third...and this is sort of where we might have a discussion...they are doing jobs even our unemployed won’t do for an $xx wage.

If these jobs were not available, being filled by Americans who take some sort of pride in working, we wouldn’t have people pouring across the border “taking” work away from starving Americans.

I do have a big issue with violent offenders coming in, but very contrary to many conservatives ...if they are basically willing to work for a wage, pay taxes into the system etc. I find it very hard to justify denying them what my own grandparents did coming from Europe.

I am all for border protection, but I also believe we need a second “Ellis Island.”

La Raza Funding Skyrockets After Obama Hires La Raza VP

A Judicial Watch investigation reveals that federal funding for a Mexican La Raza group that for years has raked in millions of taxpayer dollars has skyrocketed since one of its top officials got a job in the Obama White House. The influential and politically-connected National Council of La Raza (NCLR) has long benefitted from Uncle Sam’s largess but the group has made a killing since Obama hired its senior vice president (Cecilia Muñoz) in 2009 to be his director of intergovernmental affairs.

Ignored by the mainstream media, Judicial Watch covered the appointment because the president issued a special “ethics waiver” to bring Muñoz aboard since it violated his own lobbyist ban. At the pro illegal immigration NCLR, Muñoz supervised all legislative and advocacy activities on the state and local levels and she was heavily involved in the congressional immigration battles that took place in the George W. Bush Administration.

She also brought in a steady flow of government cash that’s allowed the Washington D.C.-based group to expand nationwide and promote its leftist, open-borders agenda via a network of community organizations dedicated to serving Latinos.Among them are a variety of local groups that provide social services, housing counseling and farm worker assistance as well as publicly-funded charter schools that promote radical Chicano curriculums. Judicial Watch published a special report on this a few years ago.

This week a JW probe has uncovered details of the alarming increase in federal funding that these NCLR groups have received since Muñoz joined the Obama Administration.

In fact, the government cash more than doubled the year Muñoz joined the White House, from $4.1 million to $11 million. Not surprisingly, a big chunk of the money (60%) came from the Department of Labor, which is headed by a former California congresswoman (Hilda Solis) with close ties to the La Raza movement. Since Obama named her Labor Secretary, Solis has launched a nationwide campaign to protect illegal immigrant workers in the U.S.

Just this week Solis penned declarations with Guatemala and Nicaragua to preserve the rights of their migrants. The NCLR also received additional taxpayer dollars from other federal agencies in 2010, the JW probe found. The Department of Housing and Urban Development doled out $2.5 million for housing counseling, the Department of Education contributed nearly $800,000 and the Centers for Disease Control a quarter of a million. Additionally, NCLR affiliates nationwide raked in tens of millions of government grant and recovery dollars last year thanks to the Muñoz factor. An offshoot called Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC) saw its federal funding nearly double to $18.3 million following Muñoz’ appointment.

A social service and legal assistance organization (Ayuda Inc.) that didn’t receive any federal funding between 2005 and 2008 got $600,000 in 2009 and $548,000 in 2010 from the Department of Justice. The group provides immigration law services and guarantees confidentiality to assure illegal aliens that they won’t be reported to authorities.

The 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA) was sold to Reagan by Democrats like Mazzoli and Schumer and RINOs like Simpson as a comprehensive bill of both a one time Amnesty and real enforcement to prevent a illegal problem in the future. The enforcement part included never before penalties on employers of illegals, "state of the art" forgery and tamper proof alien identity cards and other commitments to prevent new invasions and occupations of the US by illegals.

What went wrong?

Ed Meese (Reagan's AG) wrote extensively on this a couple of years ago, when Washington was trying to fool Americans with another "Compehensive-Immigration-Reform" (Amnesty). He wrote that - just as in the case of the $1 in tax increase to $3 in spending cuts deal - Reagan was swindled by Democrats and RINOs. Just as the $1 of tax increases came immediately and the $3 of spending cuts were never delivered, the Amnesty came immediately and the enforcement was never allowed to be implemented. The two times that Reagan made a deal with the Left he was swindled!

Note that the 1986 Act did not go into effect until 1987 and the Immigration agency became totally swamped with the higher than expected number of Amnesty applications and the incredible level of fraud in those applications. Cloward and Pivens were surely proud. The agency could not recover before Reagan left office and Bush-1 brought his own globalist views and compromises with the Left.

Rather than attacking Reagan, learn from his mistakes: When you make a deal with the Left count on being swindled!
