Palin: 'More power to Rick Perry' By: Alexander Burns August 18, 2011 03:16 PM EDT |
Sarah Palin, who said once again today that she's still open to a 2012 presidential bid, tells Fox News's Megyn Kelly that she's on Team Perry when it comes to the Federal Reserve:
“More power to Rick Perry for calling it like he saw it, and the president in his typical reactionary way, did elevate Rick Perry and what it is that he had to say. And what Rick Perry had to say is what I wrote about 10 months ago, about quantitative easing and how monetizing our debt and printing more money in order to, essentially, devalue our dollar and devalue the problem that we’re facing today, with the debt that’s being incurred. What Rick Perry was talking about is what many of us have been talking about for many, many months, and that is the danger of, now, a QE3 program being put into place. And you know, he used some of that rascal type of rhetoric that he uses there in Texas and evidently the president took some issue to that. But it’s evidence, too, though, of our president’s arrogance, unfortunately, to tell a presidential candidate what to say, what not to say.”

Palin is very into Rick Perry. Has very nice words for him. Here is what she said during his last election for Gov.:
“He walks the walk of a true conservative, and he sticks by his guns. You know how I feel about guns.”

Palin never said that printing money for a political reason is borderline treasonous. Never.

Just hold on to that happy thought if it makes you feel better. That was then this is now. Different day, different game.

She is of course talking about his freedom of speech on the matter. That is only part of what she has to say. It's a valid point, but there's more.
Palin agrees with Perry, says his point is one she's talked about extensively over past months, and also chastises Obama for having the temerity to suggest to Perry or anyone else what they can or cannot talk about.
To: Responsibility2nd
She endorsed the words she said ten months ago - so a heads up for him speaking them again. Good that he has been taking notes. When Sarah speaks everyone listens.

No, 2 posts up is what she said vs. Perry. Not the same and every school kid knows printing money makes it less valuable. I learned that when studying about the Nazi's in WWII back in the ‘80’s.

She does have a PollyAnna bent don’t she..
The old Reagan 11th commandment thang,,,
This is Free Republic and they ALL will bleed...
Somebody will savage them all... I love this place..
Even the most cherished candidate will bleed..
Reagan was a little too liberal for me... actually..
Its fun to laugh at the Rinos.. trying to act like Elephants..
Perry does say what he thinks you want to hear don’t he?..
The chicks always fall for that old bromide.. whisper in their ears..
Oh!.. and a few of the gayer friendlys too...
PeeWee Herman could beat this idiot Barry Half-White....
In the secrecy of the voting booth many will do the opposite of what they tell their friends.. I think..
Most polls are wishful thinking.. not actual voting..

Can you point to any articles that talk of a Palin and Perry falling out? That statement of hers I quoted is less then 2 years old and I read that her and Perry had a congenial meeting last month.

Well there ya go then. This proves it. Sarah is NOT RUNNING.
I hope she does runs. She probably wouldnt get enough delegates to win the nomination, but might get enough to tilt the nomination away from some RINO (Romney) and end up maybe as VP. Turning this mess around is going to be a long, bumpy road; and whoever wins as president in 2012 is not going to be all that popular four years later.

I’m down to begging Freeper’s now. Please, please, wait a while before sacrificing your first born to Perry. He is a mile wide and an inch deep. He’s certainly better than what we have now, but he’s my governor and I promise you, he will disappoint. Palin is the real deal, but may not run. Almost any Republican save Ron Paul( and a couple of other Libertarians, Johnson and the other guy) would be my choice. All this adoration of Perry can only lead to mud in your face. Just do a little reading on the Texas Corridor or the Guardasil controversy, or immigration, or any one of a dozen other topics I’m sure Freepers would recoil at. I’m not saying I won’t vote for him, but He’s not my first choice, and I certainly won’t chant “Perry, Perry” like the Obamabots did. He’s just a politician and to expect the second coming of Reagan is ridiculous.

Right. That's the point - Something that isn't rocket science and DC is/has deliberately going against it and no one is taking them on about it. It's just one more deliberate act to take down our nation - and you don't want it to be addressed because you and every school kid knows about it?
To: presently no screen name
She used Perry’s words as an endorsement of her own words , which she had said some 10 months prior to Perry saying his.

No I do want it to be addressed. I just don't like Palin acting like it was her idea. She spoke easily about it, Perry called it borderline treasonous. That's all. Just the facts
