CNBC just broke in and told the audience that the President has requested airtime and will speak to the nation at 1300hrs EST (12 noon central, 10 AM PST) on the US national debt downgrade.

That is a good one!! Not to hijact this thread, but we need a separate thread that lists all of Owe-Bama’s nicknames. I don’t think I have seen one. My personal favorite for him is The Fresh Prince of Bill Ayers! My favorite for Man-chelle is Blackie O!

Does anyone see a teleprompter?
Depending on the location of the speech, sometimes a big monitor near the back (audience side) of the room is used instead of the two teleprompter plates near the podium.
