A Republican aide e-mails me: “The Speaker, Sen. Reid and Sen. McConnell all agreed on the general framework of a two-part plan. A short-term increase (with cuts greater than the increase), combined with a committee to find long-term savings before the rest of the increase would be considered. Sen. Reid took the bipartisan plan to the White House and the President said no.”

The only reason that makes sense for him to have said no is if Reid’s plan did not get him through the 2012 election.

What I *think* he’s made a miscalculation on is just how solidly those rats in the MSM and Congress are behind him.
In the latter, they’re starting to have serious doubts about their Messiah. As in, doubting whether sticking with him will get them re-elected.
In the former, the continuing layoffs and lack of customers are forcing them to start having a more critical view of Obama. They’ve even started trying to cover Gunwalker.

Not sure how this is a cave. A short-term increase is what Obama initially DIDN’T want...which is why he said no...but it means we’re wearing him down.

If Obama decides to stop SS checks, that too will be gaming events, as approx. $230 Bil. in revenues flows to treasury each month, and SS Checks only amount to about $20 Bil.

He wanted something “big.” He wants to look like the savior of the country.
The narcissism is now harming the country and is being demonstrated as full bore insanity.

Well the main concern is if the cuts are “real” or not...but yeah, I think this makes Obama look REALLY BAD if he doesn’t support this.

Without a bunch of fanfare wordage, Obama needs to forced to resign by his own Democrat Party. The man is not hitting on all eight cylinders. He is out to destroy the country. Just like Ronald Reagan said, we Americans are one election away from tyranny. He was correct, as usual!!! Obama is the “Devil” himself, out to destroy America, our freedom, future, our nation!!!
