The 800 billion wasn’t missed - but the reporter called it “new revenues” and that isn’t how Boehner described it.
He said it was broadening the tax base with lower rates.
Neither makes so much sense in real language - but IMO it’s NOT an increase like an increase in marginal rate. Maybe removing some subsidies?
I don’t know. But Boehner has earned some respect from me and that is part of the reason i’m now saying that i don’t think the 800 was a tax increase.
I am glad FR has kristinn........he is a mover and shaker. Love his posts. Anyone sniping at him is making a lot of enemies around FR. It is not necessary to attack our own.
He has to go to look reasonable.He just doesn’t have to stay very long.

Looks like the maybe 50 phone calls I made to his office helped! It was he** getting through the other day as I’m sure everyone had the same idea, but it’s nice to know he’s grown a bit of a backbone! I was worried he was going to cave.
