Morning all, didn't see a thread for today so I created one.
Unless there’s enough evidence to bring it to beyond reasonable doubt = not guilty.
It’s not “not guilty” it’s prosecution didn’t prove his case.
I still can’t get over there not being a single juror willing to hang the jury.
Remember this is Florida, CW, where judges ORDER the murder of innocents. Remember Teri Schiavo. This is the legacy.
Look, I wanted the bitch to fry as much as the next guy, but to say someone who has reasonable doubt about this case is equivalent to someone killing their daughter is pure idiocy. The prosecution didn’t do a great job and the jury was made up of a bunch of Obama voters who were lucky to get their GED.
Negligent manslaughter might have had a chance, but she wasn’t charged with that. Even then, they would have to have proved negligence. Not reporting her missing isn’t sufficient to prove that.
I don’t know what they were thinking with the child abuse charge — there was zero evidence of abuse.
She’s guilty as hell of lying, and someone is guilty as hell of concealing the body, but only Casey was on trial, not anyone else.
In spite of the high profile cases and what we see on TV, more crimes are not solved and more people than we know kill people and get away with it. There are more people that get away it than crimes solved.
If we really knew the truth it would shock all of us.
Casey did kill Caylee, but what she did right was to be lucky enough to have the elements work in her favor. The body was so decomposed that how Caylee died was not discernable.
There was a ton of evidence in this case that was allowed to be presented. THE PEOPLE in this case did not get a fair trial. Casey got a more than fair trial.
The burden of proof is on the State, but if the state is not allowed to present all evidence at trial, well, you get a result such as this.
I pray the day will come that Casey wil be dealt with in the way she deserves. If all the evidence were presented, people could see they let a murdering sociopath walk free.
lol, I didn’t see that Seinfield episode, Miss Marmelstein.
Casey owes a lot to her mom for the acquittals (IMO). I doubt Casey will grateful for long, though. I would be afraid to be anyone in that family.
“Even the ‘defense’ said that Casey was with Caylee when she DIED. That is enough in a sane world to make Casey legally culpable for child abuse.”
So assume you are a parent (if you aren’t one already). You come home and find your child dying. Does that mean you killed or abused him/her? Not necessarily. Is it probable? sure but juries are supposed to rely on more than mere probabilities.
You never know when you might need cousel...
I see your point, but if Casey didn’t kill her, who did?
They are afraid of the freaky Nancy Grace mob that will stalk them.
Deliberately misleading law enforcement efforts to locate and establish the well being of one's child?
Nice of you to defend this travesty of “justice”.
America has become more of a police-state because of the type of emotionalism we are seeing right now on FR.
Post of the day.
jury has an absolute right not to speak to anyone. MOST jurries and jurors individually choose not to speak to the media whores.
Good evidence here, too. How was this one NOT political?? Since she is a woman of the feminazi variety, and the jury was all libs,...
That wasn’t the issue at this trial. The prosecution can feel free to charge others they may think have killed her but they can’t charge Casey again because of double jeopardy.
