The questioner was Politico's Mike Allen who hosted Wasserman Schultz this morning at a breakfast event at the Newseum in Washington. Allen pointed out that "under the Weiner standard" (a phrase that sent his audience of political observers and reporters into a fit of giggles), Clinton should have left office once details of his lies about an affair with an intern were revealed in 1998.

RE :"
Clinton also had the foresight to not take pictures of "Lil' Willy" and send them to women. He arranged for personal visits ~"
Good point, They said the same thing on a cable show last night, the internet wasnt really popular till the end of the Clinton presidency maybe 1998 and even Clinton wouldnt have been that stupid as president to email stuff like that to strangers.

Yes, Weinie has to go. Clinton, on the other hand, should have been prosecuted and jailed.

Please, please people. Why are you analyzing what Debbie said as if it should make sense??? I mean, this is Debbie Wasserman Schultz talking. Other than the knee-jerk “the situations aren't the same,” which we all should expect and not try to analyze, what she said is her usual incoherence. Just sit back and enjoy it.

I read once that computers were so new to Clinton that he only sent 1 email his entire residency.

Agreed - there was exactly NO difference!
Weiner is just a token example of showing their “morality”. If it happens again, it will depend on how expendable the guy is.

First, Clinton was just a rapist, probably still is, and that is just a sex thing as far as Democrats are concerned. Weiner is an exhibitionist who is married to Hilliary’s girl friend. His perversion threatens to expose the entire mob.

The main difference is 1,000 FBI files. Nailed it. Anyone who thinks those files were only on Republicans is living in a dream world. Slick Willy had 'em by the...uh...not gonna go there.

The Clintons are leg-breakers. You’re in with thugs when you mess with them.

Wiener actually means someone from, or a food in the style of, Wien (pronounced “vee-en”), Austria (a.k.a., Vienna). Same for Frankfurt, Germany. So, Wiener/Frankfurter. And, yes, back in English they still both mean a small sausage.
To: antiRepublicrat
Good grief. Can’t we just have a little fun without the stuffy educational stuff? I’m German. I know what a weiner is, I know what a frankfurt is, I know what a bratwurst, blutwurst, knackwurst, mettwurst and thuringian sausage is. I love spaetzle, zulz, sauerbraten, gänsebraten, schnitzel and a rouladen alongside rotkohl with apfeln.
I also know what a Weiner is (opposed to a weiner) and I stand by my use of Frank[furt] where I’m referring to Barney Frank (which I doubt you picked up on).

I was just saying a way to have even more fun with it, another angle to laugh at.

Sorry, I sure didn’t pick up on that.

Clinton also had the foresight to not take pictures of "Lil' Willy" and send them to women. Don't kid yourself. It's just that social media wasn't around yet.

From the article:
"Weiner has been keeping a low profile, with suggestions he is seeking 'help' for his sexual appetite" Isn't that what got him in trouble?
