I supposed he was flattered!
He’s accomplishing his goal.
Obama wishes he could have joined in
Is Bill Ayers there?
Can’t blame them for wanting to be independent of Obama.
If they want to be apart from us..then cut them. Let them see what real independaces is all about. Let them mint currancy, provide emergency services and national defense without the US.
Begone with them...and good riddance
"During the 1970s and 1980s, FALN members set off at least 138 bombs in five major U.S. Cities. Six Americans were killed in those attacks. One of those bombings, in January 1975, was at the historic Fraunces Tavern in lower Manhattan while patrons were at lunch. The explosion killed four and injured more than 50."

"Fraunces Tavern is a restaurant and museum in lower Manhattan, New York City. It was built on the site of a former building which played a significant role in pre-Revolutionary activities, and in which, on 4 December 1783, General George Washington bade farewell to his officers at the end of the Revolution, before returning to his home, Mount Vernon."

"Between 1974 and 1985 the FALN (Puerto Rican Armed Forces of National Liberation) organized 120 terrorist bombings in the United States. Many Americans were killed in those bombings, and many more were crippled. In 1983, another Puerto Rican terrorist group known as the Macheteros, attacked and robbed a Wells Fargo armored car in Connecticut. The Macheteros intended to use the money to finance a terrorist campaign against the United States. Working under the cover of Puerto Rican nationalism and claiming to act on behalf of the 'oppressed people of Puerto Rico,' the FALN and the Macheteros are nothing but Communist revolutionaries. Both groups were organized by Fidel Castro's secret police. The ultimate goal of the FALN and the Macheteros is the creation of an independent Marxist-Leninist dictatorship on the island of Puerto Rico."

I guess they were in a pro-Obama mood.
Please Go Independent!
Don’t go away mad, just go away!
The annual Puerto Rican parade took place here on New York City’s 5th Ave this past Sunday. As usual, didn’t see a single American flag within the huge crowd.
In my years in the military I met Puerto Ricans (senior NCOs, mind) who boasted that they’d never voted and that they admired Cuban culture and foods. Knew the words to “La Bayamesa” the Cuban anthem. Thought America is racist.
Independence? Yeah, cut them off without a single red centavo and tell them to go talk to Castro. That’ll work.
One way or the other...Sarah will fix this too.
Right with you there. We may have needed bases there during the cold war, but that need is long past. You want to be independent with a socialist economy have at it. The stipulation is no more automatic citizenship, no more support from the US taxpayer and anyone on the mainland who wants to leave, go but it's a ONE WAY TRIP.
Give them independence.
That saves $ 17 billion/year.
Sorry Charlie, they are hooked on the US welfare State and do not want to be free, they know just how good they have it and would have to WORK for a living like the rest of the Caribbean...
Give them independence already. It’s long past due. We’ve been paying their way for far too long. Good Bye and good riddance.
thanks
So how many billions of dollars do we have to send them now?
