NOTICE: FR DOES NOT AND WILL NOT SUPPORT ABORTIONIST, GAY RIGHTS PUSHING BIG GOVERNMENT STATISTS FOR PRESIDENT!!

This message is intended for those posters on FR who seem to have missed my prior statements in this regard and insist on advocating for these bastards.

I'd rather shut the place down than be involved in any effort to install abortionist/gay rights pushing RINOS like Romney or Giuliani into the White House!!

Do NOT push this crap on FR. Take your business elsewhere!! And I don't care how long you've been here!!

The argument is that non-gays, not romantically involved, not wanting or able to marry, could form a sort of partnership. Elderly friends or siblings, for example.

ALL STATES already allow adults to form legal partnerships and corporations. A person can be a partner in as many partnerships as they want and a shareholder in as many corporations as they want. There is NOTHING that bars homosexuals from this. Check with an attorney, they can tell you what you need to do.

The original point, of course, was that this idea is not inherently anti-conservative.

Homosexuals can get married now, they always have.

Creating some sort of new right of homosexual marriage IS NOT conservative.

Thank you. Stonewall is one of the most fascinating individuals of the Civil War. If you want to read an interesting series in which Jackson survived Chancellorsville, try Throw Away The Scabbard, which is written by C. L. Gray, a fellow Freeper.

I know. Everyone has heard stories about pets inheriting but they forget them when relaying the propaganda.

For example, they live together, one mostly supports the other, could they file a joint tax return, could one make medical decisions for the other in certain instances, could they transfer property without probate, etc.?

We claimed my brother on income tax as we were supporting him. A power of attorney covers medical decisions. Family members transfer property without probate unless there's been a death and a will involved. All of these are non-issues.

Not promoting Rudy or Mitt does not logically equal support for Obama.

Please, don’t try to dramatize this. Or make illogical leaps.

Did you actively endorse and promote McCain in 2008? If not, by your own logic you must have supported Obama.

The same could be said about a mother and daughter, father and son, or two good friends.

If the decode to boink each other then sudden;y they get special rights? I do not think you think clearly. I think you been brainwashed into some delusional thinking....

Homosexual sex is abnormal, disordered, self destructive, and of no value to society. One does not found or build up institutions or society on piles of poop.

lol! Don’t feel bad, they seem to be pretty stealthy and easy to miss unless you’re on the thread. Which I happen to be..usally I miss them too (dangit) This cat was begging for it. As soon as he posted his first comment I knew it was down hill from then on. (thus the ‘ruh-roh’) lol.

I guess it’s the evil in me but I like to see a zotee get toyed with a bit but this one was quickly vaporized. His comments were over the line immediately.

So regardless of whatever god someone believes in, their basic principles are "moral", even if it is in direct conflict with Gods laws? I'm not even sure where you are coming from here, especially since some major religions don't share the same basic morals.

Religion, being an institution of man, is no more safe from corruption than any other institution.

They can do all that through legal documents they set up. Just like other heterosexual people draw up, all the time. They don’t need civil unions or gay marriage to do that.

And it is fair. Heterosexuals (ie normal people) who are not married but are roommates or are friends, set up these legal documents between themselves all the time. I am going to be a power of attorney for a friend of mine, and there will be a legal document filed by him to accomplish this. No civil union needed. I could be his healthcare power of attorney, which gives me access to him in the hospital. even if I am not healthcare power of attorney he can have a card in his wallet and/or tell the hospital I can visit him in the hospital. No hospitals let people in to visit if they are not on a list or are healthcare power of attorneys. Even family is screened and verified. My pastor can’t visit if they are not approved on a list.

Mixing apples and oranges. Are you copying silliness from libertarian websites or what?

BTW the constitution doesn’t forbid a State to have a state religion if it wants to.

Obviously no one would vote for such a thing now.

But due to the COMMIE FOUNDED ACLU and assorted leftist activist groups AND a leftist SCOTUS that also “found” the right to kill the unborn in the Constitution, now NO STATE is allowed to make all kinds of STATE laws that under the original intent and meaning of the Constitution as understood for 200 years, they ARE allowed!

Apparently you hate States’ Rights. Funny how libertarians who prate about “nanny state” actually LIKE the fedgov and SCOTUS to take away States’ Rights. Liars and hyprocites!

I appreciate your clarification and certainly understand how passion about a subject works sometimes. You have a great passion for spreading God’s word on the matter and I respect that. Like I said, I have learned alot on this forum and my mind has been changed about many subjects since 2004 when I joined. I am not at all the same person politically or even spiritually, that I was when I got here back then...lol. I like to think I have changed for the better in many ways and I owe some of the good in that change to the many thoughtful posters that take part on this very forum.

FRegards,

Pen

You are posting in ignorance. All monotheist religions and some that aren’t such as Buddhism - and theism includes Hinduism which at its essence is very monotheist - share the same basic set of moral values.

“Reading, reflection and time have convinced me that the interests
of society require the observation of those moral precepts ... in
which all religions agree.” —Thomas Jefferson

I’m not trying to dramatize anything! If either one of these guys win the nomination are we not suppose to cheer them on? I’m under the assumption that any Republican would be better then Zero. I would rather have Sarah, or Michele Bachman, Rick Santorum or Herman Cain!!! But that is just me!

Hell no!! If pro-abortion, pro-homosexual rights, statist RINOs Mitt Romney or Rudy Giuliani are the new Republican standard bearers, then the Republican party has left me. It will be time for the Tea Party to really begin!!
