Scared to death?
We don’t get tornadoes but serious wind gusts from time to time. Last fall a mini tornado took my 4 x 8 ft. gallery sign out and blew it up the hillside.
We are right in the middle of the high risk area. We are placing supplies in our shelter, including the means to deal with looters. And for all those doubters, if you look at everything that has been going on in the world, including frequent and unusual extreme weather outbreaks then you can only conclude that we are close to the End of Days. For those without discernment, remember not to take the Mark.
That, too.
National Weather Service Storm Event Summary, Joplin, MO.
They are classifying the tornado as EF-4. Includes storm track. Not sure how much more damage an EF-5 could do.

I know what you mean. The lettuce is growing faster than I can eat it but the ‘maters and peppers are just hanging show no growth in the last three weeks.
I sure hope they don't come back!
Ask him what he makes of CAPE under 2000 (and in many locations in the single digits), and that above 800 mb the rest of the upper atmosphere has wetbulb approaching dry ice temps. The air up there is as dry as a toad’s bones that’s been roasting in the Mojave for the last 500 years.
I’ll concede the 120Kts in the trough at 300mb - 80Kts @ 500mb - moving out of the desert SW, but so what?
I miss living in Kansas. West Texas is dry as a bone. I loved severe weather days (unless of course I got damage from it or people were hurt).
Thanks for that info.
It’s weird to look at the map, it was such a short, straight tornado. The other ones that show on the map were longer and wiggly. I guess they were more the “traditional” type tornadoes you see with the long tail whipping around.
I may get into trouble in writing this, but could this all be in “response” to our administration’s policies towards Israel? Not just with what Hussien said last week about the 1967 borders but all the other anti-Israeli policies the last 2 years and the funding of Israel’s neighboring countries?
I beginning to wonder about it......
PDS TORNADO WATCH just issued:

The NWS in OK is advising people not to travel I35 or I40 this afternoon/evening.
I’m right in the bulls eye, so in case I am not here tomorrow, I just wanted my fellow Freepers to know how much I enjoyed getting to know them.
Sorry, but none of you are in my will. I don’t know why you would want 2 large, unruly dogs anyway. ;-)

I think we are in the end times but I don’t adhere to any dates Camping or anyone gives. Nor do I lose faith because he got the dates wrong. We are indeed in the end times.
The amount of chickens lost in these tornadoes sure don’t help food prices.

This is all in "response" to basic physics/thermodynamics.
When the Tri-State Tornado killed 695 people in 1925, there wasn't an Israel to have a policy towards.
The harsh reality is horrific things routinely happen without any deeper meaning or purpose. There undoubtedly have been thousands of springs like this in the plains and Southeast in the millions of years that North America and the Gulf of Mexico have been in its current position. Most of the time the tornado outbreaks were tearing up prairie and forests and throwing buffaloes around. We've just built towns and cities in the way.
