While Washington, D.C., is increasingly consumed with bickering between Democrats and Republicans, the U.S.-Israel relationship remains the one issue that transcends the partisan divide. In a display of this bipartisan spirit, more than half of Congress will attend tonight's Gala Banquet, which will fill a room large enough to fit the Washington Monument on its side.
This year, however, for the first time ever, Hall D/E, as massive as it is, cannot fit all delegates and guests for a sit-down dinner. As a result, all student delegates will be seated in the Ballroom Banquet in Ballrooms A, B and C. Each banquet will feature live and simulcast appearances as well as unique programming. The major speakers tonightIsraeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, House Majority Leader John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reidwill appear personally in both banquet halls.
Representatives from more than 65 countriesincluding ambassadors from China, South Africa, Mexico, Turkey and the Netherlandswill be seated at tonight's dinner.
Senators, members of Congress, administration officials, foreign diplomats and other VIPs at the banquets will have their names read during the Roll Call, a lively Policy Conference tradition that has been a crowd favorite for many years. AIPAC National Board members Amy Friedkin and Michael Tuchin will join AIPAC Executive Director Howard Kohr for the Roll Call.
The Gala Banquet will be the end of a full day of Monday programming. The morning kicks off with an address by Reverend Dr. Tony Crisp. After the morning plenary, delegates will head to lobbying workshops, where they will learn from AIPAC's top experts how to make the case for Israel on Capitol Hill tomorrow.
Oh, so true! We were in Dallas a couple of weeks ago and we were shocked! AR has quite a few illegals (I refuse to use the word immigrant since they are illegal aliens), but what we saw in Dallas was mind boggling! Our kinfolks had been trying to tell us what was happening, but until we saw it for ourselves we couldn't fathom the change. Have a trip planned to see relatives in Houston before too long and from what they're telling us, it's been overrun with illegals also. We've gotta SECURE OUR BORDERS!!!!
There is anger...and disgust. The ones who voted for the fake president are vewwy, vewwy quiet right now! :)
I get the distinct impression that it's the same everywhere in this great country of ours:)
More like 1:25
Watch the liberals, and democrate woman, start to wear their hair as this...believing it to be Michelle’s latest “style” hehehehehehe...can never tell this might start a fad like her boob belts. Which by the way were clearanced out for not selling in stores.
can any one tell me where can i see the speech of benjamin on line thank you
Sometimes I look around where I work, and including the people I work with, I am the only Anglo in the room. :)
It’s a very strange feeling when I stop and think about it.
See post 675. :)
LOL. Well, it says 1:55 on mine.
Just scroll past Reid QUICKLY, and then Boehner to the intro man.
Cock-a-doodle-doooooooo! *grin*
“Boehner drinking? Imagine that!”
Last call for alcohol!
:’(
Thank you.
I wonder if Bibi was thinking, “Poke me one more time with that bony finger and I’ll snap it like a twig”.
Great speech from a great man. May God Bless PRIME MINISTER BENJAMIN NETANYAHU , May God Bless Israel, and may God Bless America.
Thank you all for posting, from someone who was unable to watch.
I don't blame you.
I've never said anything about her, well, uhm, style.....but, good grief! Just when I thought the "fashion" disasters couldn't get any worse, there she goes again!
I am in bitter clinger country. Don’t see anyone for days, sometimes weeks.
When I saw that, I went hunting for troll images. Couldn’t use any of them. They were all better looking.
LOL! I wouldn’t bet against it! :)
Thanks for that info. Hope to watch or will record tomorrow.
Bibi was a ray of light tonight. Such a bad day otherwise with news from Joplin.
Thank you, Onyx. GREAT...soaring...speech.
