Can we get a REAL poll of the Republican Primary
Vanity ^ | 5-23-11 | dangus

Posted on 05/22/2011 8:12:13 PM PDT by dangus

Yo, Scott Rasmussen: Chris Christie is NOT running. And no-one should have been surprised that Mike Huckabee, Mitch Daniels, and Donald Trump aren't running either. Can you give us a REAL poll, of who is running, not who you wish were running?

Come on, Larry Sabato: we know you keep track up with what conservatives are thinking by reading Free Republic. How about you?

Frank Luntz: You know how popular Herman Cain is, when people get to hear of him. Can't you get us a real poll?

Instead of trying to determine who's viable for the electorate, how about letting the electorate tell us? How dare you invent wierdos who can't win elections, then complain that the GOP field is full of wierdos who can't win, then talk about how weak the GOP field is when the wierdos who can't win don't run?

The field consists of C.E.O. Hermann Cain, former Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Gov. Gary Johnson, former Gov. Mitt Romney, Rep. Ron Paul, former Gov. Tim Pawlenty, former Sen. Rick Santorum and maybe former Gov. Sarah Palin or Rep. Michelle Bachmann. No Rick Perry, Bobby Jindal, Rudy Giuliani, Charlie Crist, and Jeb Bush are not running. And Jon Huntsman is simply ridiculous that it doesn't matter whether he runs or not, but no, his hat isn't in, either.

So please, if you're really pollsters, not paradigm pushers, you'll poll who's in and who's out. You can even do choices with and without Sarah Palin. But cut off the Chris Christie crap.

So Freepers, who do YOU want? (And if you want Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachman, please also give a second candidate.)

It has become a very meager field.

I like Palin, Cain, Bachmann, West.

But I think Obama gets his second term without really breaking a sweat. The GOP establishment will try valiantly to sink Palin. The media will sink the rest of 'em. Obama may win in a landslide.

Don’t forget all the voter fraud. Once you factor that it, it will be a Democrat landslide.

Herman puts the fear in them, almost as much as Sarah.

The two in either combo is a lock!

Polls and talk at this stage are menaingless.

Remember, even in the late fall of 2007, everyone KNEW it was going to be Rudy v. Hillary.

So basically, you don't want pollsters to include people who haven't announced unless they happen to be Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachmann.

You don't want them to include people on the basis of saying that they are considering it, because you don't want Huntsman mentioned.

And you want pollsters to make a decision right up front about Huntsman, and decide for the public whether or not they have a chance.

None of this makes any sense, but ok.

I like Palin, Cain, Bachmann, West.

These four should just band together now, decide who of the three is running for Pres, then VP, Sec State and Sec Def from the other three.

Run as that, clobber everyone in both parties.

Sorry Free Republic can’t do polls. Please visit a website that has been updated since 2000.

One minor quibble: put Palin in as Prez, then the rest as you said.

Cheers!

Bachman/Cain

I’m still a bit skeptical of Cain on the Race issue. Need to be sure he won’t betray us like Powell, Watts and the others. They always stick with their homeys in the end.

There are actually only about 4 serious contenders.

The rest should pack it up and go home.

FUMR

Newt you are a brilliant man but really?

Huntsman? LOLOLOL

Ron Paul is a frickin lunatic even if I like most of his ideas.

And I can’t remember the other wannabe’s ain’t gonna be.
