Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Mitt Romney as a Republican presidential candidate?
Bug Zapper ^ | May 19, 2011 | Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy Massachusetts liberal can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

Bad times Jim, all over again. It is enough to try your soul, attempting to hold the correct path with all the outside influence being applied.

Do not vote, vote the the lesser or two evils, create a third option with possibly not a chance? I dunno, and I hate the way the media is trying to push things in the way they want, as always. They did that all too well with McQueeg, and that got us nowhere.

MY $.02...no flames please.

The mid-terms served as a wake-up call to the Republican Party, but they are still somewhat in denial. They think that people are so disatisfied with Obama that the lesser of two evils can win.

What serious people need to decide is whether we are willing to compromise our principals in the next election or do we call their bluff, even if that means giving Obozo four more years?

MHO...we keep pressure on the party and make it very clear we won't vote for an Obama-lite candidate.

If they put one forward, we go to the polls in record numbers and vote in limited government Senate and Congressional candidates and write in anyone but _____" for president.

We send a clear message to the party elite by handing Obama the presidency, but at the same time we eliminate as many Dems and RINOs from the Congress...in theory emasculating both Obama and the party elite at the same time.

Just an off-the-cuff thought.

Oh, and we tell the Republican Elite, the Media and Obozo exactly what we will do.

The answers to your rhetorical questions are, of course, NO.

Romney is out of the question. He will be nothing more than a despoiler of the vote. A divider who would enable the party, and vote, to be split.

Palin looks and sounds good...so far. If she puts her hat in the ring there is one very important item I have not seen addressed yet - What and who will she bring to the table as her team?

Who will she bring to key positions? Sec of State? Chief of Staff?, etc.

Being POTUS is one thing...using that position to dig out the 'sleepers' put in place by Clinton* and Soetero/Obama is going to be one 'bloody' hard fight. She must bring in a crew to accomplish this or she will be hamstrung and paralyzed by long-time players already in place who know the game.
Things to consider.

Col. West is a good man at the beginning of his political career who has stated flatly that he is not seeking the 2012 GOP Presidential nomination.

All those who want to assure that neither Mitt nor the establishment flavor of the week get the nomination and who are willing to devote some time and energy to electing Sarah Palin should go to organize4palin.com and register.

The worst feeling in the world would be waking up Nov 7th 2012 to a reelected Obama knowing that we had done nothing to defeat him.

“Do you really expect me to do that?”

I for one would be shocked, stunned, amazed, and frankly very depressed if you did.

Screw MittCare Romney and his socialist “lite” policies.

/My true feelings about MittScum redacted out of respect for your site, because only truly vulgar language could capture what I feel about that POS...

I hope this doesn't mean you've flipped over to Obama's side!

We have to NOT allow the media, including Fox, to choose our candidate again this time around. They know they must, and will give it their all... we have to do likewise to fight them, or we're really toast.

No! Romney, or any other RINO, will complete the destruction of the USA, just as surely as another Obama term will.

If the USA is to survive, we must elect someone who respects the US Constitution; a commonsense Constitutional Conservative.

“Romney needs to be shut down now.”

I agree. Now is the time. Otherwise the MSM will serve him to us on a platter later. I believe a lot of influential people, big donors, etc. read this site. If these is universal opprobrium toward Romney here and now, it will be much harder for “GOP strategists” to shove him down our throats later.

I thought that Romney’s one chance to save himself as a political candidate for POTUS was to repudiate Romneycare and admit he made a big fat stinkin’ mistake. Instead he embraced it and said he was proud of it.

Romney is toast. Not even with butter. Just burnt toast.

I believe it is a mistake to think of the candidates for the GOP nomination as being “put forward” by the party. Yes there are GOP bigwigs and they act to promote the candidates they prefer. But candidates run because they choose to run and attract support because people choose to support them. The process is far bigger than some backroom deal among RNC insiders. Besides, the current RNC chairman was previously the WI State GOP Chairman and in that position effected a conservative sweep that has since been rocking the nation. When it comes time for each of us to vote in our State GOP primaries we will all have choices and if none of them seem perfect it won’t be because some all-powerful RINO cabal stole our voices from us.

Obama is doing all the things the GOP globalist core wants. Global socialism is the problem. The GOP does not appear to be the solution. They will nominate someone to keep the ball rolling.

Well, Big Guy, I'm glad you got this out there early.

I have a brother-in-law who is a doctor, and a state senator (R-Dist. 12) and a Mormon.

Years ago, on this forum, I was a Mitt Romney suporter. Low key, but nevertheless, I have a particular bias for some of the finest people I know.

Then you replied personally one of my benign posts. It was short and to the point. It caused me to reflect, not for long because you were right. No one put it to me so directly and correctly. You were right. Not only about Romney but also my brother-in-law.

"He is a socialist."

When Satan get’s booted out of heaven onto the earth, will we worship the Antichrist, just because it will the “smart” and trendy thing to do?

Since he is the Father Of Lies And Socialism, I guess that answers your question.

From this Catholic, we, as Christians need to hold our respective principles and beliefs but to lay aside our differences in the current crisis to fight our common enemies in the name of our Lord. Your Savior and mine wept at Gethsemane over His knowledge that His flock would not be as one but they would all still be His flock. May we have each others’ backs and may God bless you and yours.
