Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Mitt Romney as a Republican presidential candidate?
Bug Zapper ^ | May 19, 2011 | Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy Massachusetts liberal can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

John McCain is and for a long time has been a disoriented and ill-motivated man.

We conservatives knew that for years before he won the GOP nomination in 2008, and it is still true today.

We stopped considering his faults for a time in order to rally and try to fend off Hussein.

But let us be honest. John McCain is no conservative, he’s no leader, and he was and is a disaster for our beloved country.

When was the last time the Ken Doll said or did anything of importance? Did he spend some of his money? Does spending money make one important? It seems to me that this Mitt is an unimportant man.

Romney’s not even a thought until his name is mentioned.

I have high hopes for Cain. Hopefully Sarah will consider.

I cannot hold my nose at the polls any longer. Many people will insist that not voting for a 'Big Tent' Republican is the same as voting for Obama.

This mindset has devastated America; many people insist that conservatives must match any leftward slide in kind, the supposed logic is that we will field candidates who are unelectable if we don't. It is folly to embrace this strategy. The left will vote for the left, and will continue to use so-called RINO conservatives when it suits them.

At times I truly feel that we no longer have a government for the American people. The usual suspects seem to be more preoccupied with the idea of making us global citizens, replete with the lack of protections as defined in our Constitution.

If anybody is wondering what being a global citizen would entail, I would tell them that they have a front row seat at this time. I may even suggest that they are getting a glimpse into the future. It's not a pretty thing.

Hey, looks like you found a copy of my personal short list.

Well, I found it right where you left it; in the mission statement of this great website.

But neither Sarah nor Michelle are in yet and Herman Cain is unproven as a candidate.

There may yet be additional entrants aside from these three, but my concern is that we not wait too long and let Mittles steal the nomination right out from in front of us.

Given how fast Hussein is wrecking things, I think third party talk and stay-home talk is tantamount to surrender.

I really think the dems are running scared on the election. They’re not sure footed, just upping the volume and I don’t think Obama especially wants it. How’s that?

These guys are not behemoths, but put their pants on one leg at a time. We are finally a political threat because this time we want the election more than they do.

And I feel about surrender the same way Winston Churchill did.

The media wants the horse race. Last night the thoroughbred said her announcement won’t be “dictated by some media driven deadline.”

GO SARAH!

Do you really expect me to do that?

Nope.

It would be totally unproductive to reward an unprincipled squish like Romney by giving him a vote. Romney has won nothing yet. We have to do everything possible to make sure a principled conservative gets the GOP nomination, and there are a few out there. Herman Cain, Michele Bachman, and Allen West spring immediately to mind. It is my opinion, however, that somebody like Jim DeMint could jump in with both feet, and I sure hope that happens.

As far as Sarah Palin goes, I need to know more. Her apparent support for the sodomization of the US military is very troubling. I need a Commander-in-Chief who will exercise his/her Constitutional duty and say loud and clear, "NO!" to the sodomization of the US military, and screw whatever Congress says about it. And yes, the Commander-in-Chief can do that just as surely as he/she can sign Executive Orders out the wazoo in the capacity of President.
