It was a picture that caught everyone’s attention. Sitting in the White House situation room, President Obama and his team appear to be breathlessly monitoring the raid that located and killed Osama bin Laden. But the image left many wondering: was the president actually seeing the operation unfold in real-time on the screen in front of him?

In a White House briefing on Monday, counterterrorism chief John Brennan said that he and the rest of Obama’s team were “able to monitor the situation in real time” and were given “regular updates” as the operation proceeded, but wouldn’t say whether there was a live video feed. Even though the government won’t confirm that the SEALs were wearing cameras, a military spokesman tells The Daily Beast that video is a routine part of many combat missions.

I don't understand why obama was given a jacket to wear. Most of the men there are without jackets. obama should have borrowed Hillary's jacket, at least it would have given the impression that he has shoulders.

I think they said he was shot a week ago because of the time difference between USA and Pakistan. It was Monday morning when obl was killed and at that time it was still Sunday in USA. So when Monday was stated, the hearer assumed it was April 25 and not May 2. May 2 would be the future in the US.

I found it funny that zero was to break the news but took so long that the news reporters started breaking the news. The misinformation started immediately. He was shot a week ago; his body is being flown to US;

I would bet the SEALS made absolutely certain that the video cams worked at all times so that Obama could see the operation first hand.

No Way Out for Obama to ask Holder to try any SEAL and/or other member of the Unites States Armed Services who participated in this very difficult mission for war crimes!

Thank God we have the SEALS who have learned the lessons of Obama’s “Support of Our Great Military”.
