Americans tonight are united in celebration and gratitude. God bless all the brave men and women in our military and our intelligence services who contributed to carrying out the successful mission to bring Bin Laden to justice and who laid the groundwork over the years to make this victory possible. It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of these brave Americans who relentlessly hunted down our enemy.
This is a victory for the American people, for the victims who were heartlessly murdered on September 11 and in Al Qaeda’s other numerous attacks, and for all the peace-loving people of the world.

I am quite comfortable withholding judgment until I see the evidence. ESPECIALLY in wartime. ESPECIALLY when the government is involved.
As a matter of fact, I can think of a couple scenarios which I would fully support that would require the govt to lie to us about this. So a "conspiracy theory" is not necessarily a negative aspersion as you single-mindedly think.
You just trust but don't verify. You are compelled to jump to a conclusion. That is your weakness. You act foolishly.
I know that now as well....but at first I fell for it...need to give people time to catch up to the facts. Pundits carried it then took it down. So even they jumped the gun.
The media is doing what they do by taking Obamas lead and running with it...organizing the students was easy since they planned it when the streets were relatively empty and the stdents could get there fast....the hour Bo kept the public waiting for his speech was enough to get many there and in no time the others came...doesn’t take much to get students to come together and why he uses them to fomulate crowds.
So getting fake photos out there...even when they’ve been debunked just goes with the show.
The quick disposal at sea is troubling me as well.
And, for the sake of argument, if everything is as reported it most assuredly leaves room open for doubt. I don’t understand how anyone can NOT think the ocean-dump isn’t questionable.
No one here is saying there should be a burial place for OBL, only that the body shouldn’t have been disposed of (at sea, in space, wherever) so QUICKLY and PERMANENTLY precluding further confirmation (and sorry, but “closure”).

Oh I believe he is dead....and i believe there was a special ops to bring that about...What I don’t believe is all that Obama is saying about the body...and without the body there is no evidence. He wants us to take him at his word and I will not do that.

Actually, I don’t. JSOC gets their intel from a fusion of their own analysts, and the best of every three letter agency around. The raid was carried out by SEALs, with considerable support from the conventional side, military and civilian. This has nothing to do with Obama, and everything to do with patriots who bled friends and years of their lives to bring Osama down.
Oh I don't think so at all. He was basically carrying out all which Bush had previously in place...including the curiors they were following who came out of Gitmo...and no wonder Obama didn't close Gitmo. President Obama was not on the ground..nor did he do any more than carry thru what the military and cia had already done the work on...it was simply a matter of authorizing what was already in place.

I can't stand Obama , but I have to give him credit for that speech. It was presidential, and I believe using a form of President Bush's phrase “ bring them to justice” was intentional, and paid respect to President Bush. (in other words, your proclamation has been fulfilled).
I still want the illegitimate basturd out of office, but in this case, I can't criticize him.
What were they supposed to do with it? Display it on the White House lawn?
Tough, I have questions and I’m going to continue to ask them. I won’t be shamed into silence like a coward.
I am thinking before a month is over, Obama will be saying that he PERSONALLY pulled the trigger that killed Bin Laden.
