He reminded me of President Logan on 24 when CTU freed the hostages with Jack Bauer’s help. Pretty much used the same language. “I deserve some credit. I nodded my head when they asked me for permission to put their lives on the line and complete! It was all me!”
So far I’ve seen not one report on the reaction in islamic nations, particularly nothing from Pakistan.
I think this has tremendous potential to turn into Obammy's "Mission Accomplished" moment. Too many on the left have long believed that once bin laden was dead, the war would be over. They will be expecting as much, but I don't think the muzzies got that memo.

Barry couldn’t find his birth certificate or run an Indonesian hot dog stand much less issue orders to kill OBL.

It's 9:40 a.m. in Pakistan, and earlier in points west of there. The day is just breaking and many from in points west of there, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt etc. are probably just hearing the news.
How does he not know when he gave the ok?

Somehow I doubt that our military would trust Obama with the details. He probably found out after Osama was dead.
If this would have been Bush making the same speech, the world would be on fire by now.

Obama makes it sound as if it would not be done if he were not president. You would think he would be more gracious, rather than obviously putting himself first.

How bizarre would that be! Yet every report I have seen about when Osama was killed indicates “last week.”

Aren’t these sort of announcements of acts of war accompanied by a military officer with maps and video explaining the operation etc? Why just Obama and a teleprompter tonight? And no questions? Sort of surreal.

It’s a long time between now and Nov. ‘12. Much (more) evil, I fear, will happen before then. BHO et al have been doing all they can to provoke an internal war here - now they may have just detonated a major one of international proportions with countless American casualties to come.

Credit WILL NOT be going to where credit is due. Have to wonder what BHO’s ‘lil pick-a-ninnies were saying. “Oh daddeh, wha is dat awfull noise?” Just a bunch of REAL Americans celebrating the DEATH of a MUSLIM!
I think the announcement was timed and the unfolding of this event was manipulated to achieve a maximum positive impact for Obama.
When the rumor first surfaced here via Geraldo - even before Rumsfeld’s aide ever twittered about it - I went to Google News and did a search for the latest news on Osama bin Laden.
The only recent story to appear, and it was at the very top, was a piece that was posted a full THREE days ago in HuffPo, by Gary S. Chafetz called, “The Urgent Need to Hunt Down Osama bin Laden.”
The whole article sets-up Obama as being more determined than ever to bring down OBL, as soon as possible. But, apparently, the President was positive, or nearly positive, while awaiting DNA confirmation the week of the 28th - the date of this article - that OBL was already dead.
Here’s the link. I don’t know how to make it work, so please, someone, take it and go with it. And thank you, President Bush and our special operations and fighting forces, who really persevered and brought that devil down.

which 0bama and crew are hoping for. if/when it happens, they will spin it in their favor and push into 2012
bjclinton and crew had wished 9-11 happened on their watch (it only started under their watch). if it had, they would have won the 2000 and 2004 elections.
