"I just want you to know that we are working on it," Barack Obama reportedly told Sarah Brady regarding gun control. "We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar."
This interesting bit of news was reported in an April 11 Washington Post Lifestyle section story about Obama's gun-control and regulatory policy wonk Steve Croley. Toward the end of the article the writer, Jason Horowitz, mentions a March 30 meeting between Jim and Sarah Brady and White House Press Secretary Jay Carney during which the President "dropped in."
Horowitz quotes Sarah Brady relating how President Obama gave his personal assurance that he and his administration were working hard on a gun-control agenda. Brady reported that Obama then told them about advancing the agenda "under the radar."
Apparently Mrs. Brady either doesn't grasp the concept of "under the radar," or, more likely, she expected the reporter to be discreet and keep the "good news" about Obama's stealth operations to himself. Thankfully this reporter chose to report the news, so we have direct corroboration of Obama's sneak-attack against the Second Amendment.
What is truly startling about this story is the way it has been totally ignored by the rest of the media. Compare the media's current silence with what happened during the 2000 presidential campaign when then NRA Vice-President (and GOP activist) Kayne Robinson told a group of rights supporters in California that electing Bush would mean "we'll have a president where we work out of their office, unbelievably friendly relations."

They will still be mostly the children of conservatives and think they are doing the right thing. You know during the Civil War, both sides thought they were right while they were killing their brothers.
Both my wife and I served in the military and my older son wants to join the Marines. It’s a sad thing to contemplate.
I told them, they said the same thing in Australia, and before that, Germany.
Stealth laws by a stealth president, who will hear our cries?
As in: yesterday they came for the guy down the street; today they came for poor old Joe my neighbor next door; tomorrow they'll be coming for me.
It was but no one in that novel went up against trained troops except in circumstances of self defense. The targets were the heads of snakes not the bodies.
so you stay under-the-radar by telling a big-shot
blabbermouthed activist that you are trying to do it under the radar....
Is this guy a frickin’ MORON or what??
Too many of you are not willing to fight or die for what you believe in. During the Revolutionary War, only 3% of the Colonists fought. I am willing to guess that today it is less than 1%.
This is not a game... and if they violate the Second Amendment... they are going to kill many of us far before they come to get our guns... they will starve us out or arrest us as we shop for food etc. We can all be made criminals with the stroke of a keyboard.
What will you do if obama orders you to surrender your weapons and along with them your Freedom and Liberty? Will you capitulate... will you surrender... will you turn your weapons in before they come?
If that is what America comes to... maybe it will either be time to stand and fight or leave. With people like you and a couple of others on this thread, I am beginning to wonder if America is even worth trying to save.
LLS
Yes.
Not according to some on this thread. I do appreciate your comments.

I was beginning to think that the American Spirit was dead on FR... you and one other have proved that it’s embers still glow on FR.

Exhibit A: Attempts at asserting Feral control over all gun sales private or other wise.
Exhibit B: Attempts at trying to exclude people from buying guns that are on the secret watch lists for completely unknown reasons.
Once theyve done that, theyll start bleating about existing gun owners and shouldnt we check them out ..
One!?! I resent that math. ;^) lol
Thank you brother.
LLS
Thank YOU! heh
You certainly sound like you are itching for a fight.
In your scenario, who do we shoot first? When they are all shot, do I get shot too?
Since you were the one that brought it up, would you stack bodies up like cord wood in Christ’s name? Really, where are you coming from?
My point is and was, that if this turns into a shooting event, it will not be the bad guys that are trading bullits and giving their lives. It will be kids serving their country either killing or dying while believing they are doing the right thing.
I have served my country on the front line in combat. I have seen men killed and would put my life on the line again to protect our freedom. But, killing a man is a hard thing and shouldn’t be taken lightly.
You never answered my question... would you surrender your weapons when the FBI comes for them? Will you voluntarily turn them in before they come... will you take them to your local police chief or sheriff? What will you do if obama outlaws guns and they come to get yours? It is a simple question. Do you think that we all should just turn our weapons over today and save obama the trouble?
I agree.
My dad flew B-17's and I grew up around a couple of his friends that also flew them. I learned what sacrifice was from those men. They instilled into me a deep love and respect for America.
I know that rioting and looting are not the same as demanding Constitutional rights and refusing to adhere to laws... laws that so violently and outrageously violate the Constitution as to compel one to balk at their being. Will our Military of today turn on Citizens carrying out Constitutionally protected liberties, where the Russian military has refused... when they turned their tank turrets away from the Russian people and trained them on the Politburo? I am truly wanting to know. That is truly a scary thing to contemplate.
One more thing for you to think about... if it is true that the Military would follow their orders to kill Americans abiding within the US Constitution and its rights and liberties... then everything that our Fine Military has ever fought for... everything that this great Nation stands for... all of it is an illusion that is just one Military order away from extinction.

Unfortunately a few years ago, we had a break in, all of my guns, several thousand rounds and my reloading equipment were stolen, I have a police report and everything. I have since then acquired two legally purchased handguns, they are stored safely in a lock box in the basement. If the deputy and it would be the deputy, not the FBI or BAT, showed up to get my registered weapons, I would hand them over to him. We would discuss how our kids were doing in school and shoot the breeze for a little while then he would leave and dutifully report that both of us had fulfilled the law.
If I got into a gunfight over my registered weapon, it would be a neighbor, a friend, and a father of kids I like that I would be shooting at. At the same time I would be risking the life of my wife and kids.
If I did decide to kill the deputy to keep from turning over my registered hand guns, when would you recommend I do so? Should I wait until he shows up in uniform with his own weapon, or should I snipe him while he’s mowing the grass? That may sound glib, but I’m a realist, he’s the person that I would have to deal with. A real life person, with a name, a family, somebody I know and a neighbor.
I have put my body in harms way fighting for our freedom and I would do so again but I really don’t think talking about stacking bodies up like cord wood helps our cause. I know your pissed at me but I’ve said my piece.
For the past two years crates (400-1000 rounds) of rifle ammo — 7.62X39, X51, X54 — have been flying out of my local gun shop. He can’t keep it in stock.
It’s OK.
I’ve had the same thoughts you expressed.
If the military is ordered to go in and shoot civilians, they will refuse. If they are ordered to go in and neutralize armed combatants, well that is something that they are trained to do and will do. Like I mentioned before, when I was in the service, we were locked and loaded waiting to move into LA. After seeing the violence we were all ready to go in and I never gave it a thought afterwards. In retrospect, maybe I should have.
