(CNN) The White House released President Obama’s original birth certificate Wednesday.
The surprise release follows recent and sustained remarks by businessman Donald Trump, among others, that raised doubts as to whether the president was born in the United States.

Can’t any of you see that this whole BC thing is just a political trap? 0bammy gets everyone frothing about his birthplace, and meanwhile the legitimate complaints (and presidential candidates) get swept under the rug. As a result, the right is too twisted up in their own lost causes to organize, and the dems roll into office like no one was standing in their way.

If you think Congress will act as law enforcement for this country you are the craziest person in this room. They won’t even police themselves but break their own rules at will.
The only way we can regain the rule of law is by recognizing exactly what we’re up against. I have no interest in getting somebody with an R behind their name to screw me once I get out the D’s that are screwing me. Until we actually have accountability to the rule of law elections are just a change in who screws us. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
The Founders knew that; that’s why the checks and balances and the rule of law were their primary concerns. That has all been trampled. Those foundational principles are what have protected us from tyranny and made us prosperous and free, and until we AND OUR LEADERS recognize that we MUST have those foundations back and MUST do whatever unpleasant and unpopular work it entails to get them back, America doesn’t stand a chance against the communist-Islamist allies that are lined up against us and increasingly have their fingers in every radio broadcast and website available, while the courts claim nothing is any of our business except whether the coffee at McDonald’s is too hot and whether your BMI index is better than mine.
Until we wake up to the danger we are just an ambush in mid-progress. If the lawlessness that has surrounded Obama’s eligibility (even just the stuff that’s already documented, like forgery, perjury, broken laws and rules, alteration of official records, murder, bribery, and misprision of felony) isn’t enough to wake people up - even to the extent that some people are saying it’s just a “distraction” - then America will die comfortably in her sleep while muttering something about “those stupid people who keep complaining about a boa around our neck”.
