There are things that mystify and fascinate us beyond belief, and then there’s Donald Trump’s hair. Trump, who many political commentators now believe is planning a run for the presidency, tends to get highly defensive of his world-famous coiffure every time someone suggests it’s a toupee. Because it’s not. It’s a tonsorial work of art.

You are actually saying that The Donald’s famous hair IS A NEW YORK STYLE????????????? I’m a lifetime NYer as well and I can tell you that that hair style is unique unto The Donald (unless you are talking about the Napoleon-do that was popular in the mid-19th century). And it IS a bleached-orange comb over. One of the worst, one of the most eccentric but like Quentin Crisp, Trump has turned it into a style. I doubt few men will be imitating it...

How To Get Donald Trump’s Hair In 4 Easy Steps!

I doubt that it would be easy to get Donald Trump's hair. Surely the stand he keeps it on at night is protected by topnotch security, just like his other possessions.

The man's hairstyle make him appear as though he's wearing a blow-dried red badger on his head, an effect which is only getting worse with age.

He got his hair from an apprentice of the guy who did James Traficant's and William Shatner's.

Sorry but this is the best photo I could find, the old queen being so very fond of hats.

Unfortunately we have none here.

From Wiki:

Honey badgers are intelligent animals and are one of few species capable of using tools. In the 1997 documentary series Land of the Tiger, a honey badger in India was filmed making use of a tool; the animal rolled a log and stood on it to reach a kingfisher fledgling stuck up in the roots coming from the ceiling in an underground cave.[20]

Honey badgers are notoriously fearless and tough animals, having been known to savagely attack their enemies when escape is impossible. They are tireless in combat and can wear out much larger animals in physical confrontations.[16] The aversion of most predators toward hunting honey badgers has led to the theory that the countershaded coats of cheetah kittens evolved in imitation of the honey badger’s colouration in order to ward off predators.[21]

I remember President Bush had some bad hair days in the beginning, but I think his hair stylists got some pretty stiff gel for him because his hair looked flawless after the first year.

Thanks so much - you tried and I appreciate it. Quentin may have had a side comb over but he then did a little swirly pompadour (sp?) a la Trump. And instead of an orange dye, he used a blue rinse. What a character! Very nice man, though.

“You are actually saying that The Donald’s famous hair IS A NEW YORK STYLE?????????????”

No, please leave aside the hysterics in punctuation and capitalization over hairstyles for a moment and re-read what I wrote more carefully.

“And it IS a bleached-orange comb over.”

Some people have naturally light hair. Donald Trump is one of them. He doesn’t bleach his hair that I know of. What sources do you have that are better than mine? Many people from the Rhineland of Germany, where some of Trumps ancestors on his father’s side are from, have a reddish tinge to their blond. Likewise for the Gaelic-speaking part of Scotland where his mother is from, many blonds and redheads and shades in between. I’d address your balding and comb over assertion, but I already have, which you’ll see when you read what I’ve already written more carefully.

Well, my punctuation and caps were meant to represent disbelief and humor at your post. You are entitled to believe that the Donald’s hair is naturally orange and that he has more hair than Samson before the haircut. I, personally, believe in little fairies and that elves dance under my window at midnight.

Thanks for the permission.

I can’t post photos and The Donald seems to have managed to delete most of his early photos from Google, lol! (That’s a joke.) So I had a brainstorm and did a Google Image of Ivana Trump AND Donald Trump. Happily, some early photos cropped up. You can clearly see the original hair color of the younger Trump - dirty blond with some gray at the temples. The awful Ivanka also went from being a middle-aged woman speaking mangled English to what appears to be an extra from the film “Bye Bye Birdie.” How these two do it is beyond me!

And I’m a major fan of The Donald.

Better yet: Google Image “Marla Maples and Donald Trump.” There is a wedding photo (closeup) of the happy couple. The Donald’s hair is a kind of dark red/brown (it may be dyed as well, I not quite sure) with a tiny bit of Paulie Walnuts gray at the temples. It’s undeniable, I’m afraid. His hair is Lady Clairol not some genetic mutation of his Rhineland ancestors.

And, as I said, I’m a fan of The Donald!

Yes, he was wonderful. You can see a tiny bit of the Trump hairdo under the hat.

I want to apologize for this 3rd post - I’m really not trying to badger you. I promise this will be the last. I just googled “Donald Trump’s father” because as we all know baldness is inherited. Very hard to find; but - and I admit it’s a left wing blog - there is a photo of The Donald’s pa. And, indeed, he’s not completely bald at all but has a major receding hairline. Now, I suppose it could be photoshopped, but I doubt it.

Is there anyone out there who can post the changing hair colors of The Donald? I don’t want to bother Old New York again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gray hair isn't really gray, you probably know. What effect would aging have on a man with reddish dirty blond hair as more white hairs appeared?

I think you're getting his former wife Ivana mixed up with their daughter Ivanka ('little Ivana'). Women have done funny things when left after years of marriage for a younger woman.

If you want to post photos in html, the way I know is to insert (img src="http://www.example.com/image.jpg"/) at the place in your post you want the picture to appear. There might be other ways, and this one means it has to be a picture hosted somewhere online, but that's worked for me. Just replace the parentheses above, ( and ) with circumflex ones, < and > but leave the rest the same except for what you're putting between the quotation marks.

I've seen the pictures from the 80's and 90's, though I can't find them to post now either. From personal experience I'll tell you that dirty blond hair with a bit of red in it looks different in different lighting, and different levels of light - fluorescent, incandescent (remember those days?), sunlight, etc.
