Supreme Court justice David Prosser has picked up more than 7,381 votes in Waukesha County, a conservative county outside of Milwaukee, as part of the statewide canvass following the election for Supreme Court on Tuesday. The total gives Prosser a comfortable lead as the canvass continues Friday.
The error came when Waukesha County clerk Kathy Nickolaus failed to save some 14,000 votes that came from wards in Brookfield before passing the vote total along to the Associated Press. County officials discovered the mistake Wednesday and shared the information with state election officials on Thursday. Prosser won Waukesha County with more than 70 percent of the vote there.
Wisconsin sources say that the paper trail on the votes will be obvious and difficult for anyone to dispute. Either votes from Brookfield were counted in the initial tally or they werent. Still, the discovery of the extra votes is sure to stoke the embers of the heated battles that have taken place across the state over the past two months, particularly because Nickolaus, the woman at the center of the controversy, is a Republican activist. A posting on the website of the Republican Women of Waukesha County indicates that Kathy Nickolaus recently served as president of that group.
But several sources have pointed to questions about her competence in the past. In August, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that her superiors ordered an audit of the county clerk's election equipment and system beginning with the September primary despite several memos she sent to the committee over the weekend defending her practices and resisting the move.
Not a 60k vote lead ... the counts are just updates for Waukesha County only. It includes that 7k missed Prosser vote report
Don’t know if she’s even been near the place, except for flights in/out on vacation.
It’s all just symbolism with her, anyway. I’m sure she’s still got anywhere-I-live on her ****list from 1972.
It was disgusting that Al Franksenstein was allowed to steal that election. I felt and feel bad for Norm Coleman who is a very decent person unlike Frankenstein.
This is great news!
When I checked the Kook Channels, they were talking about the budget in DC.
They were all crying on the INSIDE though!
Oh there’s no joy in Kook-ville today!

He has been kicked out of the house (for now), but other than that the cat is fine. This cat has a really bad habit of going around and sticking his paw in glasses of water and dumping them. It's a game to the little devil. It drives me nuts! I should have been more careful. I was reading the laptop before bed, closed it up and set it on it's side between the bed and the night table. I also had a glass of water sitting on the night table that the cat dump over the side and onto the laptop. Anyway, we retrieved the hard drive, but the motherboard was fried. I hadn't even had the laptop a year! Dear husband was ticked at me and the cat (which he doesn't like anyway). 4 year-old was upset because he heard Daddy threatening to shoot the cat. But anyway...off to by a new laptop today. I can't live without my laptap. ;-)
Anyone have any recommendations of the best laptop under $600?
Okay...I agree. I was referring to "disciplined" in your post.
Could also be that tighter procedures or better equipment need to be implemented.
Agreed...no release of unofficial results!
If she were head of the local democrat organization certifying elections, wed want this, no reason to not apply the same standard.
I agree that we need to provide equivalent scrutiny and standards. But good luck trying to convince some people, those who feel we should get off the moral high ground and go down into the muck with the Left.
Anybody else find it strange that there’s not been a word about this on Drudge?
LOL!
I think we should send her flowers.
She should never have been in that position. Why should the AP get access to unofficial results, they can wait for the official results, just like everybody else.
Exit polls and release of unofficial results, before the final official results are release, should be banned.
I thought of using the word "reprimanded if need be" but decided that might imply too much leniency.
If the work and procedures are sloppy, correction is needed and perhaps not only of the procedures.
Thank you for the clarification......I didn’t think I’d understood that post correctly.
I will pray for the cat
I hope the clerk was on our side, and waited to flush out the Dems’ usual cheating. Nah, our side isn’t that good at playing this game. I can dream, though.
So the Dims wouldn't know how many votes to steal. In Illinois, the Chicago machine has done this for decades.
No, other sources say there were a total of about 10,000 votes, with 70% for Prosser.
