D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton is no exception. The Democratic non-voting representative for the District of Columbia told MyFoxDC.com that Congress should go "straight to hell" for trying to meddle in D.C. affairs. Norton was referring to a provision in the stopgap budget bill House Republicans are pushing that would ban federal and local taxpayer dollars in the District of Columbia from being used to pay for abortions. "We are absolutely outraged. This is the functional equivalent of bombing innocent civilians,"

There is NO EPA provision in the bill. That is a lie.
The ONLY STICKING POINT now is the ban on federally-funded abortions in DC...that's it.
But didn't Stupak get a promise from Obama that that would never happen?

Norton is just flailing around because all the attention of the country is now focused on her district.
Turns out this whole battle now comes down to one issue...federal money for abortion in DC...and as the Dems scurry away into their dark corners it is becoming clearer even in the media.
Will Obama shut down the Gov't for the "heroic" cause of keep funds flowing for abortion in DC? Don't think so.
