Damn, she was captivating in that film, which is one of my favorites. There was just something about Tennessee Williams and Elizabeth Taylor that commanded your attention. I never could take my eyes off of her. RIP, Elizabeth.

Search function is fine - people just need to use it. And not search a headline verbatim - only one or two keywords are enough.

Jolie is so famous for these action movies that require little acting, that we forget how good she was in Changeling, Gia and Girl, Interrupted.

I totally agree PLD. I was just a kid when she was touch-and-go in that London hospital with pneumonia. I thought she was a goner then but she prevailed. I always liked her. RIP Ms. Taylor :(

Here’s what I do.
Go to Google and type
“Elizabeth Taylor site:www.freerepublic.com”
Then select in the filter “Past 24 Hours”.
Pretty much works every time.

It would be cool if you had a link or photo.
That is very interesting 411.
FR is a haven for Cliff Clavens.
I watched it 4 months ago and didn’t see the 7th Fleet in the background.
I will watch the movie and remember this. Should be hugely entertaining.
Thanks.

Mmm.
I don’t think Clint quite approaches Liz, but I may be biased as male.
But I would say that when Clint is gone, his shoes cannot be filled, he’s a star, and his mold is no longer in use.

Saw her in person as well and she was stunning. So is Jayne Seymour who had me speechless.
Catherine Zeta-Jones is the only choice.

Check this beauty out. Found it while looking for a screen shot.
1944 or 45 - Dido-class cruiser. (Either Euryalus or Argonaut as both had 4 twin 5.25in and 3 quad 2-pounders by the end of the war, but not Phoebe or Cleopatra which had quad 40mm Bofors instead of the 2-pounders - thanks to Tim Stoneman, with more comments following)
